Adding pure rakeback to account was cut off a couple of months ago. Players who are grandfathered into their rakeback accounts will continue to receive rakeback.

In it's place, we offer rake rebates through the VIP system. You'll earn a set percentage of your rake back based on your VIP level. You'll also be able to exchange cash for points, for additional value.

Any updates on this? I wanted to get my nice young ladyfriend a cool pair of shades. Summer's over now.

I do know that a certain certificate expired, and that the third party in charge has been worked with. But it is completely safe to order from the store, and the backlog of store orders that existed previously, has largely been worked through and orders are being shipped much quicker.

So, how well prepared are you if carbon is targeted by the DOJ?

Seen the article. Can't comment on complete speculation. Some of the comments echo my thoughts though.

CarbonChris, are our funds in segregated player accounts? To my knowledge this question has never been directly answered by any of the merge skins.

You have to realize that if you want players to continue playing on the site in this legal environment we need a little piece of mind. Many of us have lost tens of thousands of dollars due to gov seizures and another big loss will be DEVASTATING!

Re: ***Official CarbonPoker Support Thread*** -- Receive up to 35% CASH BACK in our VIP Program

HUD's banned?

Hey guys,

On 9/1/2011 I received an email from CarbonPoker telling me that automated systems have detected the use of prohibited software in conjunction with the poker client. My account was suspended pending further review by their security team. I replied to let them know that the only poker related software that I run is Hold Em Manager. I received no contact from CarbonPoker until today except for automated responses to tell me that my emails were being forwarded to the person in charge, etc. CarbonChris was nice enough to respond to my PM here on 2p2 last night and he informed that my account was suspended for the use of a bot on my computer. I emailed support again to tell them this and that I do not and never have used any poker bot at their site or at any other. This afternoon my account was reinstated, and I was told "Please note you can use Holdem Manager to track your own play. However, you will not be allowed to use the HUD tools which are associated with the aforementioned software." Have HUDs always been banned on CarbonPoker and I just never realized it? Or is this a new change? Basically what I'm trying to find out, has this happened to anyone else, and are you guys using HEM's HUD at Carbon?

Thanks,
CTM

Sounds like possibly some confusion on their end. As far as I know, HEM and PT3 HUDs are fine to use. Maybe they had it confused with some other HUD that utilizes online databases like SharkScope.

Clarification from Chris would be cool. :-)

Re: ***Official CarbonPoker Support Thread*** -- Receive up to 35% CASH BACK in our VIP Program

Yeah I'd really like some clarification too. I'm in my second year of law school so I don't get to play very often any more, and I got locked out from playing over the holiday weekend because of this. If HUDs are truly being banned (or have always been banned) then I won't use it anymore, but something about this doesn't feel right.

I know that I at least have covered this in the thread before, but I certainly understand the importance of the issue. Player funds ARE segregated and 100% safe. CarbonPoker is committed to the US market and that's not changing.

Honestly, the Subject Poker article, based on the comments I read earlier, is being seen for what it is. It's baseless speculation. Merge is staying in the US market.

I understand players taking a cynical view based on last 5 months, but there's no more plain way to say. Player funds are sperate and safe.

Chris,

I'm in no way involved with the article Noah wrote. I don't know the details, and he won't give them to me if I ask.

But I think calling it "baseless" speculation is pretty insulting to the work he's done for this forum over the past few months. He didn't wake up this morning and decide to just write a bull**** article for no apparent reason.
