Re: New Super-Turbo SNG structure (for 6-max STT)

To touch on this before I head out:

-As for the incentive to lie thing, it's still really silly. I think I have a pretty good track record on here of not giving BS, giving honest answers, and being as clear as I can be. What is the difference between me typing that old structures are pulling larger numbers than the new structure, versus me typing in exact numbers? If someone thinks I'm being deceitful about the first claim, what's going to make them believe the second claim? Skeptics will be skeptics. If people don't want to take my word, that's their choice. But me typing exact dollar figures on a message board doesn't make anything any more 'true' than me saying that we won't release those numbers, but the old structure runs more.

-At this point(and this is not directed at you LTT777), I'm frustrated that I fought hard to try and get something that people seemed to want out in place, now all I feel like all we're getting is heat that we don't nuke another format and make it the only game in town. I understand, it's not everyones first choice. But 6 weeks ago, this option didn't exist. Now it does. I don't understand why people can't let things play out a little, play the format you prefer, and we'll continue a dialogue as there's more info to go off of.

Re: New Super-Turbo SNG structure (for 6-max STT)

I clearly dont think it is a waste of time to try to get them to make changes. I'm the guy who started this entire campaign with a skype convo and an email 3 months ago, so clearly I think there is merit in it. I think simply pleading a case that has been plead many times over since page 1 of this thread with virtually zero results is a waste of time.

They have come to a decision and have made it pretty clear that nothing but a change in the numbers is going to change their minds. So I think working on changing the numbers is time better spent imo.

I don't even think Merge thinks they will survive if Pokerstars/Fulltilt begins to serve the US again, so I don't think that is going to be much motivation for them.

Again I agree with the premise here as it relates to the merge superturbo landscape.

However, no one ever accused you or even implied you would lie. There is literally no reason to defend your integrity ITT. You brought up lying in the first place, but then asked a question about what incentive there would be do so. I think every single person reading this can see an obvious incentive, and that is the point I was making. I don't think anyone is lying, and as far as my memory serves me no one accused you of doing so.

That doesn't change the fact that knowing what the separation is, who it is in favor of, and how wide the gap is is very useful information to me. There are reasons to analyze these numbers other than verifying the truth in your statements. Further, as far as I can tell, you don't even know the exact numbers so again you are the last person that would be called out for lying, if it appeared lying was in play here.

I understand your frustration here. You just can't take it personally. I for one am very appreciative of all the help the Carbon guys have given us. Without you guys we would be playing the old structure exclusively, and that is a fact. I pleaded my case when I felt the forum was open, and now that I know it is not, I will sit back and wait to hear how the numbers look at the end of this month. I think everyone should do the same.

Yep huge +1 to this, we just need to all keep grinding the new structure to show merge that it's where they will make the most money in the long run.

Since July 21st when the HUD was released, the new games have been popping off a TON more than the old format which is a great start, just need to keep that going

Chris and Ryan don't deserve some of the BS on the last page itt as they have been nothing less than super helpful, I've said tytyty before itt and ill say it again. <3

Not sure if the last part was directed towards myself, but I think I was clear that my thoughts were directed towards Merge and not Chris or Ryan.

With that being said, I am willing let things play themselves out and keep quiet. Gl to everyone.

Any chance Merge can clean the lobby up a bit? It's all over the place.

6 Hare
16 Swift
10 Hummingbird

I think 6 or 8 at each level will do the trick.

Agreed. Some uniformity would be nice. As would the lobby being free of the stakes that have far too many games so it easier to navigate.

I just wanted to cross post this. All the superturbo guys are having serious problems. The lobby is lagging. Games are popping up really deep into the game where our stack has been blinded out or close to it before the table ever opened up. You'll notice the new structure was flying this month up until now. But we have all slowed down until this gets fixed.

This is very much a top priority, and though I don't know the particulars of what's causing the slow down, it's being worked on.
