Last Man Standing Starts Again September 2012 - Over $32,000 in Prizes! Opt-in Now!
Hi Guys,
Be the Last Man Standing - Over $32,000 in prizes
Starting September 1, 2012 we are proud to bring back Last Man Standing. As many of you know, this will test and reward your poker endurance - as you battle it out to earn VIP Points on consecutive days and stay alive.
See the full chart below to find out how many points you need to earn on a given day. The promotion starts at only 50 daily points, and builds over the following 29 days.
The last 100 players that keep the pace will share in over $27,700 in Cash Prizes - with an additional $5,000 being spent on a freeroll along the way. Plan your schedule for September, as this is a promotion at CarbonPoker you really don't want to miss!
In addition to the cash prizes for our last 100 players, there will be a Last Man Standing Freeroll - with a total value of $5,000. Qualify by achieving the VIP Point totals up until day 3, and try to take it down. *We are guaranteeing 250 spots paid in this freeroll, with the top prize being over $800!*
Players are allowed to take one day off during the promotion, but if you miss the 2nd, you will be eliminated. There will be no more free days allowed after day 10.
The freeroll will be taking place on September 8th at 15:00 CST. This will be created in advance, but eligible players will get their coupons approximately 48 hours before the freeroll starts..

Re: Last Man Standing II Starts September 2012 - Over $32,000 in Prizes!
Very cool promotion! really fun and decent value
However! don't fall in the trap of trying to overdo yourself in this one, it ended up really bad for me! once you feel you can't really reach a certain level anymore.. just.. let it go, don't try to chase that next level really hard, because you'll probably end up paying off more in the process than you'll ever gain back.
Just honest advice from someone who felt gutted after first time they done this!

While this may have been the case for some players (including yourself), from the feedback we received, we heard from many players that found it beneficial to their overall game to be pushed a little harder than they usually would have played. It has now led to them being able to play better poker, for longer sessions, and has led to them being able to increase their overall $/hour.
Also, in response to the feedback we received, we shortened the promotion down to 29 days as opposed to 60 days. We think this will definitely help with 'burnout' that some players were feeling towards the end of the 60 days last time.
We have also retained a 'free day' for players to use up until day 10 of the promotion, so you wont get dropped out if for some reason you need to take a day off in the early part of the promotion. Add to that, the fact we are now paying out the top 100 players as opposed to the top 50 last time, plus the Freeroll now pays out the top 250 places, and I think you can see we have really put a great deal of effort into making sure that there is value in it for all levels of players.
We feel we have taken everyones critiques and feedback into consideration when developing this second round of the Last Man Standing, and would love to continue to hear your feedback to aide in the future development of the promotion moving forward.

Re: Last Man Standing II Starts September 2012 - Over $32,000 in Prizes!
As someone who has never raked any more than $80 in a single day, I am bummed that I can't really partake in this. Hopefully some day I'll be playing limits that could sustain going after something like this.

You should definitely still make it far enough along to be eligible to participate in the freeroll.

This is why the freeroll pays out 250 places and is so easy to qualify for

In the event of a tie, the prize money for however many places tied would be added together and divided equally among those who made it. Ties are only possible on the final day. On any day leading up to the final day, places are awarded based on who had the highest rake among people eliminated on that day.

All correct, i asked this question before and before the final day, the rake paid will be compared up till the cent. It's nearly impossible to have a tie in rake paid exactly up to same cents paid.

Exactly. We track VIP Points down to one ten-thousandth of a point ie. 0.0001.

A question to clear things up.
Going from day 1 to day 2. Do you only need 25 points or 75 additional. Does it change anything if you get 75 the first day?
