to be honest, i don't even play these, so there's a lot of value for small limit players, in proportion to how much rake they generate.

I agree, and the figures reflect this too.

There were only 4 freerolls. There are no more left to run.

Re: Last Man Standing Update

***LAST MAN STANDING UPDATE***

As a result of the delays with the 6.0 software today, we're going to give all remaining Last Man Standing players a pass on today's requirement. You will not receive a strike for missing today's target, and will not be eliminated if you already missed your 3 days. In the calendar in your admin, today will show up as 'Pass'.

Thanks for your understanding and patience everyone.

Re: Last Man Standing Update

what a shame. i guess last man standing is no more (unless merge reverts back to the previous software version really quickly).

Re: Last Man Standing Update

Why would 1 day cut out make it 'no more' ? it's the same deal for everyone still in it anyways.

I'm actually really happy they did this. I probably would've just done my points for today anyway, but i lost a lot of time, and who knows what issues will arise during gameplay today. I'd much rather skip the day and let problems be sorted first.

edit: well nvm i see it myself now.. when your client freezes up and stuff like that, this promotion will indeed be hard to do if it isn't fixed tomorrow.

Re: Last Man Standing Update

In the future, please reconsider offering a two-month long super grinder promotion if you're doing a client upgrade in the middle. Even if the upgrade went smoothly -- and this one hasn't (never mind that I see nothing that is functionally better about this software in how I use it) -- you're inevitably going to have problems with getting tracking software working again, HUDs rearranged and making other adjustments to the new software. All of those are hurdles for grinders.

If you want to take the Bodog model and tell high volume players to go jump in a lake, fine, but you can't have it both ways.

And if the lag issue and the hand history issue isn't fixed by tomorrow, you really ought to consider giving everyone another free day. It's really unplayable right now.

yeah, i was maybe being a little too pessimistic, but i was thinking that nobody will be putting in any real volume any time soon. hopefully i am wrong.

Re: Last Man Standing Update

Probably.. you still have plenty of time today, no? I had some lag issues earlyer, and hoping for a refund, but aslong as those don't happen too much anywhere, i think everything is working fine for me at least.

i think a decision needs to be made earlier, rather than later, so that people can plan their day.

Re: Last Man Standing Update

***UPDATE***

Today's requirement for Last Man Standing will again not need to reach the minimum today. We're giving all remaining players another pass on today. We're hoping that things are at a point by tomorrow where reaching the minimum is fair to our players.

Thanks again for the patience and understanding.

Re: Last Man Standing - ***UPDATE POST 58***

What about Race for the Riches week 1? It's been impossible to earn multipliers, surely that promotion needs an adjustment as well.

Plus, some of the tourneys aren't even running at the times listed on the promotion's main page, or at all.

There will be adjustments, but because everyone is affected similarly it's not exactly the same. With LMS, players could be flat out eliminated through no fault of their own.
