Bots are obviously not allowed, and have absolutely nothing to do with this, or any other programs of this nature.

Bots play XYZ poker, which is what this software turns into. Sure it doesn't tell you what to bet or when to do it, but it sure does tell you more information than it should be. The information is live. Have you ever heard of the saying "One player per hand."
Holdem Manager and Poker Tracker is fair. None of the information is live. It doesn't give you win percentages, pot odds etc. It just gives you past information.

That's your opinion, and you're entitled to it. However 'fair' isn't a fact, and we don't share your view on this. We aren't alone in believing this type of software is within the boundaries of what's fair to the game. We aren't alone in allowing this type of software. We've received predominantly positive feedback for this software so far, and are happy to continue to offer it to our players.

As well as everything that Chris has mentioned above, there is one fundamental difference between 'bots' and this type of software.

That is the ability to make decisions without any input from a real person.

It is that significant fundamental difference that differentiates these programs from one another, and makes one available to be used, and the other one not.

is there anyway to generate a graph or graphing software that is compatible?

I believe they are still working on it. No firm release date. I will follow up tomorrow.

Currently, there is not any provision to graph your player statistics at this time. If you (or anyone else), have any suggestions for how you would like a graphing interface to work, please let me know and I will pass it along to the developers.

We would never have offered any software that was considered 'illegal' by other site operators.

We did our due diligence when we looked to offer something of this nature, and spent a long time researching what would not only fit within our rules here at Merge, but what would also be acceptable at the main, industry leading sites as well.

Fair enough - I was just under the impression that any software that provided this level of live information (pot odds, specifically; this "hand odds" more generally - although that info sounds, well, not very useful) was not allowed by Stars TOS.

Not that it affects me, but isn't it already an unfair advantage for Windows users as opposed to Mac users if the software is only available to one group?

They are working on releasing the Mac version now. Also, the percentage of Mac users over Windows users is quite small. Thats why there was not a Mac version available initially.
