They are currently working on a Mac version, but no timeframe for release had been given so far.

In regards to other skins; we are the only skin on the Merge network that this software will work on.

If you want players to put more hands and generate rake, develop something like MergeKey now that its down

I am unsure of Merge's specific rules on 'datamining' itself, but this tool is on all the major sites 'allowed' list, so I have no problems recommending its use.

That being said, I don't believe you can run unlimited instances of the program on tables you are not playing, going by what customers have said so far.

I must say I find this troubling. Not because fish will know vpip and pfr, but because it will keep track of how much they lose. That demoralizes fish. Same reason I never tell really bad players about PTR. And if you can open a table, not play on it and data mine without playing then there is something really really wrong. If that is the case then I expect Merge to send me all hand history I'm not involved with

I hate it honestly, considering I've bought this exact software three years ago and had to pay for it, and now these fish are going to become educated by the same software for free. Sure, I like the features that show your percentage to win the hand on every street, but it's features like this that painfully make it obvious to bad players that they are well... bad. To a certain point, if a so-called fish continues to see they are less than 50% the vast majority of the time to win a hand and see they have horrible stats compared to the rest of the table, most of them are either going to 1) stop playing poker all together and give up on the game, or 2) Improve their game and become decent enough where they can be breakevan, which hurts the player pool.

This is a mistake on carbon's part and will hurt the company because you will lose some of our player pool with a few regs leaving and some fish leaving due to they suck; meaning less revenue and you guys must have paid tournament indicator alot of money to use their product which results in an overall loss of revenue for the company. IMO it's going to be challenging getting new players on the software solely by this new odds calculator, so have no idea why you decided to implement it.

Merge will get back to me after Easter, as the guys who need to be asked are not in the office until Tuesday. I'll report back as soon as they get back to me.


I don't think this will cause as much of an issue as you think it will. Personally, I think it will increase a players desire to play more. This tool is never going to miraculously make someone a great player, but I think it will give some people the idea that it will. Even if they do realise that they are losing players, I think they will use that information as an excuse to play harder, not quit altogether.

Losing players know they are losing once they realise they have hit their CC limits. Having this tool may give them some confidence to keep at their game in order to try to recoup some losses.

I find the reactions of some of the players here a little disappointing to be honest.

Anyway, only time will tell I suppose.
