This works on all variants of Holdem. Real money, play money, ring games, tournaments. It all works.

Yeah, it doesn't make them better overnight, but there is a chain reaction. Retard installs hud, googles vpip, pr, etc, stumbles on 2p2 and never leaves.

Simply having access to a HUD(not that they didn't already have access to software like this) doesn't automatically make a player better overnight.
Well, the regs you talked to are idiots. Anything you do to encourage a player to improve his game is bad for everyone, and no site should ever implement anything that would spur players in that direction.

Instead of adding in things that reduce everyones edge, thus reducing the incentive to play on your network, thus reducing the rake generated, try putting your software team to work on things that will help your site...Like the rebuy/add-on issue. And the inconsistency in tournament structures.

You say this as if it's actually a reason for the site not to make the odds calculator available. God you're stupid.

Great idea from a short term business point of view, horrible idea for people with a clue.

Any plans to update this for non-holdem games?
If not, great! I don't think I want it.

I think you guys are over reacting. Not the whole network has this tool so the majority of rec players won't have access to it. Second the calculator tool is exactly that, a tool. A player still needs to be able to put reads on others and that skill will always determine who is winning and losing. Last thing, the site doesn't care how many fish there are on the site. In fact it is to their advantage to have everybody equal and constantly trading $$$ since that means eventually all the money go towards rake rather than fish busting and never depositting again.

Re: *** FREE -- New CarbonPoker Poker Odds Calculator ***

Good players don't want to trade money. They want to take money from bad players. So sites need bad players to create action.

The question is, will the tool cause bad players to evaluate their game and redeposit, trying (but possibly failing) to improve? Possibly. Will it attract new bad players? I doubt it. Will it remind bad players that poker is really an exercise in probability and statistics, and remind them that they are losing money? It might, and this can't be good for the site or the regs.

I really don't know, but I lean toward the last explanation, and I really don't want my bad opponents to have an additional reminder of their win rates.

I think the tool will be useful to a certain class of player. I do not think that player class is "fish." I also feel as if the concerns over this matter are greatly over exaggerated.

I bought a similar software package not 5 days ago and it cost me $107. This one is FREE! Enjoy it
