If it is late June, I hope you wait until the Last Man Standing promo is over. It would suck if that promo was decided by some software malfunction.

When is 6.0 going live? I know it was said somewhere, but I can't find it. They should roll this out now and just kill Revolution at the starting block.

I believe we're still looking at a June launch. Nothing more specific than that atm.

I believe the new stacking option in 6.0 should resolve this for you guys.

also just an FYI.. minor improvements frequently is better than lump sum changes once every two years.

I think PS has a monthly update. Is this possible?

For those who frequent the software, you'll note that once every week or two, there is an update while the client launches. This is various changes and bug fixes taking place routinely. It's true though, the larger sweeping changes seem to happen in bulk, and maybe that's something we'll reconsider in the future.

I have noticed updates once in a while, but it would be great if there was an update thread just like PS has and FTP used to have. The thread would have a summary from you that tells us what was updated and then we give improvement suggestions for the next monthly update. Small and frequent updates from player suggestions seems to be the most efficient way to get top notch software. Just look at PS and FTP as the model for this.

By the way, I'm really starting to like the software, so please don't take what I'm saying in a negative way. I only bring up PS and FTP all the time because they set the bar for software. Merge is getting there.

No, no worries and no offense taken. I totally agree that when it comes to larger improvements or changes, that doing them piece by piece might make more sense than holding off for large full scale renovations. I just wanted to point out that smaller bug fixes do take place pretty frequently.

Just further to this, from what I understand, with the release of 6.0, it will make it far easier for the development team to make adjustments to the system. I heard that a major overhaul was necessary from 5.0 ---> 6.0 in order to make scheduled updates easier to achieve.

I fully agree that a set of bi-monthly, or even quarterly releases are far more effective than a complete overhaul every few years.

Fingers crossed that with this new 6.0 release that those days are now gone.
