Re: Rakeback is Back!
Chris or Ryan,
First off let me say how helpful it is to have you two on here to answer questions quickly.
I've asked a couple of questions on here before and you've cleared things up nicely. I just want to get a final confirmation before deciding to switch back to rakeback.
------
I originally signed up for Carbon through raketherake.com and used the rtr750 bonus code and have an active bonus. I play mostly nl4 so I really have no shot at clearing the whole thing before the allotted time is up (7/22/12). I did some simple math and if my calculations are correct it would be more beneficial for me to switch back to rakeback.
The math is as follows, and based on roughly $100.00 contributed rake per month through July.
If I were to switch back to rakeback at 35%
I would receive around $70.00 in rake back.
As points would decrease from 10 points per dollar raked, I would probably only get one $10.00 bonus release.
The total money back would be $80.00 for the two months.
If I were to stay with VIP I would almost certainly top out at Wind for a 7.5% cash back that would earn me $15.00
I would be able two clear two $10.00 bonus increments for a total of $20.00.
I would also be able to exchange roughly 3000 VIP points for a total of $21.00.
That would give me a grand total of $56.00 earned in addition to tournament coupons etc. (not too interested in the tourny coupons)
Is my math correct? Would switching back to rakeback kick in immediately after the manual switch? If so I think I would like to make the change.
Thanks in advance,
Nicname

Re: Rakeback is Back!
Final update: I found that I joined through RTR, will I also have to contact them? Or is that handled by Carbon?

You can contact them, and they will have you moved over and tracked to their promotions etc.

Your math looks sound to me. Just want to clarify maybe what you mean by tournament coupons, because you're still able to enter in tournaments with VIP points if you're on rakeback, if that's what you mean.
If you're looking to make the change, please email viphost (at) carbonpoker.ag with the subject VIP to Rakeback and include your username and we'll make sure you get switched over tmrw.

How will we know when the transition is complete? Will we be able to see a status change on our account panel? Also, is there a way to track how much rakeback we are getting?

I don't see one in my panel.. Perhaps they haven't rolled me over from VIP to rakeback yet. Could you tell me exactly where you see it (e.g., My Account --> Rakeback Report)? I don't see a mention of rakeback report anywhere except for the chart explaining how much rake per hand they take under "VIP Points & Rake".

Hi all,
The accounts are still yet to be moved over to Rakeback.
Once it has been done, you will find your rakeback reports under 'My Account' in your player admin.

Ah, makes sense. Guess I'll have to wait to start playing until the change! Thanks, once again, Chris.
(Also, wondering if you got my PM from yesterday.)
