No, you will be able to move across immediately. Lock players are immune from the 60 day rule.

Hey Chris, the flat 35% is great for a micro guy like me who really has no hope of ever getting past wind. Could you explain just what the differences will be for VIP vs. Rakeback players. For instance, what will rakebackers still have available, and what will we miss out on?

Another question, and actually what I came to the forum to ask before seeing this thread is... Where can a player find the exact amount of rake they have contributed to the cardroom and its relation to their VIP cashback or rakeback?

6.5 VIP points per $1 raked instead of 10
Cant spend VIP points on cash bonuses

To determine lifetime rake, divide total VIP points earned (check your player admin for Lifetime VIP points) by 10 (assuming you've been a VIP player for the life of your account).

There is also a line for VIP Points earned this month, same math

Thanks Kahn!

As per the response above, there is no inbuilt report that gives you the information you are after. Most players use some form of poker tracking software which can give them all these kinds of statistics.

Thanks Kahn and Ryan. Yeah, PT3 shows some rake info, though I wasn't sure how accurate it was.

It should be accurate over the games it has tracked.

Hi William,

Here are the answers I was able to get for you:

What happens if I earn the 250 VIP points, but get converted to rakeback before Saturday? Will I still get to play in the Saturday satellite?
If you earn the points necessary for entry into the 150 Seats to 150k satellite, you will still be eligible to play, even if your account is moved over on Saturday.

I think these issues are still being ironed out. As soon as I know definitively how this is all going to pan out, I will get back to everyone here.

All your earned VIP points will remain for you to continue to use. You can always exchange them all for cash before the move though, if you would prefer.

Definitely, just get in contact with the guys at RTR, and they will be able to get your account moved over on their side.

Re: Rakeback is Back!

I was a rakeback player once, but decided to have it removed at one point to use the VIP system instead. This was interesting to me at the Ether level, because it nets 3.5 VIP points more per 1$ in rake paid. The downside however being that it's possible to drop out of Ether if i fail to rake in enough $'s to maintain the level.

Since rakeback is back, will players like me also be able to swap back to rakeback status should we wish to? Or does the rule remain: once changed, never back?

You are definitely eligible to move back, everyone is.

You will just have to accept losing the extra 10% in value from the points to cash exchange you get on the VIP program.

Re: Rakeback is Back!

Thanks for the quick reply. Is it then also allowed to ask for your status to be changed depending on what's best for yourself? I'm an Ether player right now, i remain in the VIP system because that's what's best for me right now. Next month, i fail to rake enough, and drop out of Ether. I ask to be changed to a RB player (so far everything is OK according to you). Now, while i'm a RB player, i play enough and move up in the VIP system while playing (the system would still track my points/VIP levels while i'm a RB player). I'm back at Ether at one point. Is it then OK to once again ask to have the RB status removed? And then every time in the future depending on what suits best for me at that moment?

No, this is not allowed.

It is a one time chance to change. Once you decide to change, there is no going back.

Re: Rakeback is Back!

Thanks for the reply.

It would've been possible it's allowed, i guess. I think it should be. After all, this'd be only be something for your very highest raking players. It wouldn't hurt to have them be able to swap to the best return-value deal possible, i guess - they're paying insane amounts of Rake already anyways.

In any case, thanks again, good to know!

If you are interested in getting the extra 10%, then stay on the VIP program. If you feel that you are not able to keep up with the requirements, then you can change to RB, and get a steady 35%. Once you do that, you won't be able to decide to go back to the VIP program down the line.

That is how it stands currently.

And do the 2nd part, yes you can get 35% rakeback even if your account has been funded through a transfer.
Ok, this all sounds good. I'm assuming once the money is transfered, I can just send an email asking for rakeback to the same address listed for VIP switch to rake? The last question I have is whether to send ID verification in right off the bat, or wait until I'm ready to cashout?

Yes, you can email viphost (at) carbonpoker.ag with the subject line of VIP to Rakeback, and we'll take care of it on the 1st. Make sure to include your username there as well.

And it is recommended to take care of the verification process now. This will help ensure there are no issues when you do eventually want to make a withdrawal.
