Yes, 100%. I would love to see your guys' realistic input.

I realize I`m oversimplifying a bit, but humor me...
If you laid your steps out as the following:
1.10
5.50
11
33
109
215
530
Every step could be used as tourney buyins. You then set the 22 mtts to be able to use 2 11 tickets, and the 55s to use 5 and bam almost all your freezeouts have tourney tickets, people can jump in and out of steps as they see fit.
Then redo your satellite system. Bovada does an awesome job of this they have tons of <$10 satties to their bigger tournaments. Every hour you could have 1 or 2 step satties to the next level. This INCREASES your rake, because people are paying rake each step along the way. It allows fish to get lucky and move up the ranks and get to play for bigger money which they love, and that draws more people to your site.
Field sizes start increasing, guarantees go up and seriously why the hell would anyone want to or have a reason to play on revolution then??
If you give people the possibility to turn $1 into a 530 tourney entry the "possibilities" and "Dreams" are endless. If everything is streamlined to be cross compatible, then there should be no trouble trying to get these things to regularly fire...
if the higher step sngs become to bumhunterish, then you can just run mtt steps, Other sites have done stuff like this before and had success, and im sure users here could chime in and say ya ya that would be huge, but at the end of the day does that get us anywhere.....

I agree with most of this. Like you say, you oversimplified it, but its along the lines of what we are already thinking.

Yes, I like the idea of combining the $11 coupons into $22's and $33's and $55's. The $1 satellites are already fun and good structures. Build on that.

Instead of combining tickets (which I don't think the system allows), we are looking to use coupons that exist already for many other network wide tournaments, so if you wanted to 'cash out' of the steps promo at any stage, you can use that coupon in many other events.

I apologize if this has been asked already, but will the regular sunday majors (15k Gtd, 125k Gtd, mini superstack etc.) be running during poker maximus?

Re: CarbonPoker Poker Maximus II Thread - Starts September 6th***Update Post #84***
I just noticed that in the lobby for Event 7 (60079298), there's a discrepancy in the level times: on the left of the lobby screen it says 5 minute levels but on the right it says "NLH, 5000 Chips and 10 minute levels". I presume this is supposed to be your standard 10 minute freezeout but it might be miscoded to run as a turbo.
I hope that if there's a Maximus III, the powers-that-be who design the offerings will take into account some of the constructive criticisms here about the relative lack of breadth. As a glass half full person, I'm happy to see a small handful of tournaments with higher guarantees; but there's certainly grounds for seeing all the things that are missing and hoping that they won't be the next time around.

Ryan and myself have fought for it's inclusion, but I don't think it's going to happen. I think at this point, we're staying with the schedule as is, with changes to guarantees being possible depending on early turnout. It's something that will be looked at, and I believe included in the next Poker Maximus.

Hi Ryan, as far as the system not allowing satellite coupons to be combined, then why not just award points? Tournaments already accept points for entry.
Anything to open up the pipeline is a benefit to everyone.
This whole subject is going to be one of those talked about things, then put on back burners, then forgotten, then written off.
GL all in your Maximus events.

Is there going to be a tournament leader board for the series? Any prizes given for overall player of the series?
