CarbonPoker.ag VIP Program Thread - Increased Monthly VIP Exchange Caps *Update post #268*
I've been saving up my points hoping that this will be done right. To date though, all I see is that we will be able to purchase concert tickets?
To be frank, I was hoping for a receipt reimbursement based concierge system.
Since this is going live in 3 weeks, may we have some information?
Thanks

I can't give specific details at the moment, just as some fine tuning is still happening.
What I can definitely confirm is that it is not going to be simply a receipt reimbursement system.

Ryan,
What I want is a receipt reimbursement system. The other stuff I care not for. Can you confirm that a receipt reimbursement system will in fact be implemented, details notwithstanding?

Hey,
No, I can confirm that this will not be a receipt reimbursement system.
As soon as we have all the details ironed out, Chris or I will make a thread detailing all the ins and outs of the process.

Ryan,
This is disappointing as months ago I was told in private that this concierge would in fact have a receipt reimbursement component to it. If all of your highest volume players are out watching Justin Beiber concerts with newly acquired tickets from this concierge service, your volume will suffer. I urge your management to reconsider.

Re: Upcoming Ether + Concierge Service
Just to add to this, we did submit a proposal to Merge for a receipt reimbursement service, but due to the fact that the percentage rate we wanted to offer was above 10%, it was rejected due to the 45% cap put in place on the rewards we are able to offer as per Merge rules.
They allowed us to offer a 10% receipt reimbursement rate for the service, but that seems redundant when you can just exchange your points for cash at the same rate.
Hopefully this explains the situation a little more as to why we aren't able to offer a receipt reimbursement system.

What about the players that cannot exchange their points for cash?

Hey guys,
Please keep in mind that this is for Ether+ players only. I highly doubt any players hitting Ether+ are not on the VIP program and therefore entitled to exchange points for cash.
If there was a player who is still on an old 35% rakeback plan, but hits Ether+, they are robbing themselves of the extra 10% in rebates based on the points for cash exchange rate.

Not to mention the lower rate they are earning VIP points at, making Ether+ very difficult to achieve. We still have a little time before the end of the month, but I'd be surprised to see a rakeback player make Ether+.

Re: Upcoming Ether + Concierge Service
I have already attained the 150,000 points needed this year to receive Ether plus and I still have 35% rakeback. With the rake races I make more than I would doing the VIP program. But that is why I asked "What about the players who are not able to exchange points for cash?" I would like an "exchange cash for points" system put into the Ether Plus level so that it would even be worth it for me to even keep up Ether Plus. Besides the $500 coupon which I am guessing I receive only once, there has not been anything mentioned that even peeks my attention a little.

Fair enough. To clarify, you'll get the $500 coupon every 3 months you retain Ether+ level also. We'll have more info on the concierge service, and how it will work later this week.
EDIT:Just want to add a bit more to this. If you're an Ether level player, and plan on staying at at least 25,000 VIP points a month, it's going to be beneficial to take part in the VIP program. You'll still be eligible for any rake race if you drop your rakeback in favor of the VIP program. You won't miss out on anything your affiliate offers by dropping rakeback. You'll gain the ability to exchange points for cash, as well as earn VIP points at the better rate of 10 VIP points per $1 raked. Now if you're not planning on maintaining Ether level, that's another story, and I understand why you'd keep rakeback.

I don't understand this? I'm also easily attaining Ether month in and out with the old 35% rakeback...How is it possible that we will still be eligible for rake races if we drop our rakeback sites?
I is confused

Hi,
You don't drop your rakeback site per se, just the rakeback payments. Your account remains tracked to your affiliate, you just get paid your rebates via the VIP program.
Hopefully that helps answer your question.
