Would be nice if they could be reintroduced to the tournament lobby. I was looking at a few of the tournaments that were completed already and there is no way to see how many rebuys and addons there were, since there are no more tables to open

Make the new $60 6 max a 5k gtd and get rid of the one that start 30 minutes before(the 2k).
Have the 30q on the schedule everyday. I have noticed it randomly missing on some days. Start it at 5pm est, that way it kinda starts of the mid/HS mtt schedule. I think this tourney may be better if it were a regular rebuy tourney instead of a quad. Jmo
Maybe clean up the schedule just a bit, get rid of some of the small non gtd mtt or gtds with a similar one starting within a certain timeframe. This will help the prize pools in the more popular GTDs.

Quick tournament update:
The 'Weekly 7' Heads Up NLH - $5,000 Guaranteed was a tournament which was not performing and has been changed. In its place will run the 'Weekly 7' Shorthanded NLH - $6,000 Guaranteed. This tournament will remain a $109 buyin. Players will start the tournament with 3,000 chips and levels will increase every 15 minutes.

Re: CarbonPoker.ag Tournament Improvement Thread -- Update Post #1089
Why are some Friday night guarantees lower than Thursday night guarantees? And then they lower even more on Saturday evenings. Why is this the case? It makes me not even wanna bother playing them if the guarantees can't remain consistent.
For example, the $33 fo at 19:15 CDT was a 7.5k guar. last night. Tonight, it's a 5k. And tomorrow night, it's a 3750. Isn't there generally more traffic on the weekends?

So, after speaking to the Poker Room Manager at Merge, due to lower participation levels on Fridays and Saturdays, there was quite a bit of overlay that needed to be accounted for, therefore the GTD's needed to be adjusted accordingly.

How often have they left the guarantees the same? I think lowering the guarantees also lowers the amount of players because, as noted above, a lot less people are compelled to play the tourneys when the prizepool is lower.

feedthabeast is correct. the reason participation is lower, is bc they lower the guarantee. really not that hard to figure out and i'm not sure why they won't just set the guarantees and the only days they should change them is Sun/Wed obv.

This isnt the case in most circumstances.
They only lower the guarantees on tournaments that have significant overlay for weeks in a row. This indicates that participation was dropping before the GTD were lowered.

Participation will be lower, yes. But it's going to be closer to the guarantee, which is what matters for Merge. Not like if they make the guarantee 100 times as high, it's going to get 100 times as many people. If they're having to pay an 10% overlay, and they cut the guarantee by 25%, and participation only drops 15%, then it's the right choice for them.

Yes, exactly. You cant just say that raising the GTDs will increase participation. That has been proven to be incorrect.

you are both right, they both have some effect on the turnout
I.E. I skipped the 3.5k $33 tonight because the low GTD, normally always play it

I want to be able to see this info as well. Also, the tournament lobby where it tells you the rebuy info- needs to be fixed because you cant see all the info. I dont know if its for the non unlimited rebuys but for the unlimited rebuys it says:
Rebuys: Unlimited ($1 for
I want to see how many chips you get for the rebuys plus it would be nice to see what the starting stack is as well when you want to late reg.
