This thread is clearly the nuts.
1) Hand history replayer would be super
2) Observer chat would be pleasant
3) no-blind-increase deepstack HU sng's would put me on ur site 24/7 and make me the happiest guy on the planet
4) I like the $5 mtt deep, currently 9th out of 126

Re: CarbonPoker.ag Tournament Improvement Thread -- UPDATES on Post #14, 20 & 27 (10/5/11)

**********Tournament Hand for Hand Changes Effective Immediately**********

Hand for Hand Update

Hi Guys,

The new hand for hand system has been implemented. Here is how the new system will work.

- If the number of places paid is less than 1 full table, we don't go into hand for hand more at all.
- If the number of places paid is more than or equal to 1 full table, then we go into hand for hand mode 2 places before the bubble and again 2 places before the final table. Importantly, this may overlap, or even both rules being enacted at the same time if places paid is the same as table size.

Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback.

Thanks.

Re: CarbonPoker.ag Tournament Improvement Thread -- UPDATE on Post #47 (10/7/11)

i know its probably not feasible, but i wish there was a way to turn a "snakes and ladders" step ticket (or any satty for that matter) into T$. i stupidly played a couple of these without noticing they never run and now i have a couple $33 step tickets that i can do nothing with. even a % on the $ would be good.

Chris -- I appreciate changing the addon for the 75r. While on the topic of addons...

17:00 60 rebuy: Can we also get a 2500 chip addon for this as well? It's a big high stakes tournament and would be great to get a few extra chips.

22:00 20 rebuy: Most grinders HATE the addon. Blinds are at 200/400 approximately 1 minute after the addon period begins. The addon effectively gives players a 5bb addon, which is nothing. A 4k or 5k addon instead of the current 2k would be amazing.

18:45 40 1rebuy/1addon turbo:the rebuy period lasts too long. 65 minutes of a play in a turbo with a single rebuy is not ideal. Can it either start at 19:15 or have the rebuy period end at 19:30 so that we have a 35 minute period prior to addon?

Thanks Chris. Sorry for so many posts recently, I'll slow down now

I really like these suggestions and I would add to the $40 1r/1a that a bigger add on or shorter period before add on would be better.

Actually almost all the suggestions would be great changes to the tourneys. The 1 thing I want the most is more guaranteed tourneys. It seems anytime new tourneys are added they hit their numbers and it would just be more rake for the site and be much better for MTT grinders to get in volume.

Exactly this. Chris, srsly, those bounty MTT's without guarantees on them, put guarantees on them and you'll see more entries!

11:30am cst 11 bounty: $500 guarantee on total prizepool (bounty + regular)
3:30pm cst 11 turbo bounty: $500 guarantee
4:30pm cst 16.50 bounty: $1000 guarantee
5:10pm cst 16.50 turbo 6m bounty: $750 guarantee
7:40pm cst 16.50 6m bounty: $750 guarantee
10:10pm cst 22 6m bounty: $750 guarantee
11:10pm cst 11 bounty: $750 guarantee

Also 9am $11 FO without a guarantee, slap a $500 guarantee on it

there is nothing more broken than the lack of auto rebuy / double rebuy / addon option

This.

I asked for guarantees on the bounties for a while now. I don't believe I've ever actually seen a guaranteed bounty and it's baffling to me.

Re: CarbonPoker.ag Tournament Improvement Thread -- UPDATE on Post #47 (10/7/11)

i posted these thoughts in another similar thread, but apparently this is where more discussions actually occur. I wish merge would fix the start times for mid and high stakes mtts. their start times are spread out way too much. personally, i know that myself and a few other high stakes regs would play all of the tournies if their start times were closer together. as it is, there is a $60 rebuy and the tourney that use to be the 82 6max that starts much earlier than the high rollers. if i pick one game to play in the day, its high rollers, so often i forfeit playing a couple of the earlier ones. if you simply start them at closer times on a regular basis, i really feel they will get alot more traffic.
also, ftp had ftops, stars has wcoop, and even ub had a high stakes mtt series. merge needs this too. maybe quarterly throughout the year starting with like 8-12 events with buyins from 55r to like a 1k event. would be sweet

Yea def agree with this post. Most sites have to spread out their schedule because they have people from all over the world playing, Merge is mostly US players so they can get away with having HSMTT's close together so that every reg that only plays HSMTT's will play them all

Re: CarbonPoker.ag Tournament Improvement Thread -- UPDATE on Post #47 (10/7/11)

Agree with those 2 posts above..a more refined/ideal mtt schedule for the north american players would be awesome. how about...

16:00 $30 2r1a
16:30 $60 freezeout
17:00 $60 rebuy
17:30 $82 6max
18:00 $109 1r1a
18:30 $44 rebuy turbo
19:00 $215 highroller
19:30 $60 freezeout
20:00 $30 2r1a
20:00 $30 freezeout
21:00 $82 rebuy
21:00 $20 rebuy turbo 6max

Big tournaments at the top of the hour and smaller freezeouts at the bottom of the hours. This would be pretty sick!

Anything you guys could do to get the biggest buy in tournaments closer together would be so awesome!

Thanks for the feedback on the mid-high stakes MTTs. It's something that we'll look at going forward.

A tournament series like you're talking about is something that will be considered in 2012. Hopefully that can happen, as I agree it could be great. Thanks again.

Re: CarbonPoker.ag Tournament Improvement Thread -- UPDATE on Post #47 (10/7/11)

In the 100 seats to 100k freeroll yesterday, at my first table there was only myself and one other player for virtually the first hour with the other seven players no shows and sitting out until they were blinded out. For freerolls like this either registration shouldn't open until an hour before start time or no shows should be removed from freerolls if they don't show before the end of the first blind level.
