Re: CarbonPoker.ag Player to Player (P2P) Thread

I'm trying to find an answer to this also. But let me tell you what I know.

1) sub $100 dollar transfers do not require a physical person to approve them, they go through rather quickly

2) Anything > $100 has always required a sec dept review

3) The Merge team is absolutely swamped right now

4) I was not told of any upcoming changes to this, and I spoke to a very well informed person on Monday who typically tips me off...

Now I will purely speculate. Given the above factors, I'm guessing that things are limited b/c all available personnel are doing double duty to get things working properly post software upgrade.

OK, sounds like a lot more problems than just this p2p atm. I'd say ROLLBACK to 1.0 merge and re roll out 6.0 when you get it all worked out. This can only be helping lock atm.

Re: CarbonPoker.ag Player to Player (P2P) Thread

I want to say that Im strongly against any limit.

Merge is becaming the second major site of poker after pokerstars. And thanks to american player and the hability to trasnfer cash between player. So they can get payed.

Doing that is going to kill a lot of business and problable a lot of people dont want to wait 1 or 2 years to get the cash when they get a big prize.

So transfers must me made as normal 100 instant and any amount over, just do a manual confirmation , and if they have a lot of working doing that, that means that a lot of people is playing, (pokerstars does the same , and dont see they complain )

Chris/Ryan --

Updates? Was this a conscious decision or an unintentional result of the upgrade?

I must be the only person on the site that has to have ALL transfers approved. Despite my various attempts to email support and get them to fix it so my < $100 transfers are instant, like everyone else i know, they just give me the standard issue reply and no one fixes my problem. I only send and recieve transfers several times daily to mainly the same people, but I still need approval every single time. This is problem because sometimes it takes an hour to go through, sometimes 15 minutes. If its after say 10 or 11 oclock at night, forget about it, the transfer wont go through till the morning after say 10 or so am. I guess asking carbon to staff support for 24 whole hours a day 7 days a week would be "crazy" so how about a carbon affiliate help me out, please!

It makes sense to not have anyone in the office overnight. After all, that's how all the big casinos do it. At 10 p.m. Everynight the bellagio managers and floor men all go home and catch dinner with the wife and kids, while the players all continue on playing as usual.

BTW... I realize now isn't the best time for this request since support is swamped with everything else. But I saw kahns post and had to chime in. I thought I'd ask anyway.

Carbon doesn't control this. This is Merge staff.

I wouldn't know that because if i emailed anyone to find out they would copy and paste one of their standard issue emails that doesnt actually answer any of my questions like they always do.

literally, I emailed them explaining my situation and asking why my transfers under 100 needed approval. I asked them to fix it several times. They just sent me the same thing you posted in response, instead of actually paying attention to what i was saying and giving me a straight answer.

basically, in short...
1) sub $100 dollar transfers do not require a physical person to approve them, they go through rather quickly

2) Anything > $100 has always required a sec dept review

So you are telling me that i need to email someone else (merge support?) about this? If so, what is the contact info for merge?

thanks.

Hi guys,

This has been confirmed as a bug, and will be rectified. No need to worry about any changes happening, its just an error.

Sorry for the delay in responding to this thread, but I am trying my best to get to them all.

Ryan

Thanks Ryan, this is a relief to hear. Any estimate on when transfers will be available again?
