Hi all,

As I touched on in the 6.0 thread a few times, we are in the process of beginning development of a selection of widgets that would be available in real time running in conjunction with the client.

Where these widgets will be housed is not 100% certain at this time (as that left hand side advertisement pane is more than likely being removed), but we are still set on building these out and including them somewhere to run in line with the client.

We want to solicit you guys for your preferences, wants, needs, desires and wishes for what widgets you would like to see, and how you would like them to perform.

Please use as much detail as possible when describing your ideas, and we can start some discussion.

Widgets as in weather and news? OR services for players at the table? I am confused what widgets a site could offer

Widgets that are related to your poker play. ie. session information, upcoming registered tournaments, cashier details, promotional status bars, VIP progress etc.

This will be close to like what FTP had for all you confused individuals.

i'd like one that shows your entire real money balance but how much is in play and how much is not in use. i actually think that should be a standard option but if it can't be done, at least a widget would do.

a widget showing number of tables/players playing various favorite game types/stake you set. for example i set one for 1/2 PLO 6-max, and one for 2/4 PLO 6-max. the widget should then tell me there are maybe 2 tables of the former with 13 total players (inc. wait list) and 1 table of the latter with 5. this would be useful because i can get a cursory glance at how my games are running upon logging in. it's also a better alternative to scanning the lobby when the text is small and stacked so closely on top of each other.

Assuming the user can pick and choose which ones they want? Perhaps a little niche, but I wouldn't mind one that shows current progress of the 125 seats to 125K promotion.

Yes, players would select that ones they wanted. Not everyone would be interested in the same info, and ideally we're planning on having quite a few available.

something that shows what place you're in while playing tournaments would be nice. much better to check the main lobby in one spot if you're playing several at a time.

Advanced filter quicklinks. Shows player a list of links that he can click that will conveniently change all the advanced filter settings:

1) List of preset, maybe skin specific, advanced filter options. (ie. Bad Beat Tables, Guaranteed tournaments starting soon, Tournaments you have tickets for, etc)

2) List of advanced filters that a player saves.

Interesting idea. Im not sure if the widgets would be able to connect to the filters, but I will definitely add it to the list.
