CarbonPoker.ag Tournament Improvement Thread -- Update Post #909
As regular posters in our Official CarbonPoker thread have seen, over the last few weeks we've placed a renewed focus on trying to take suggestions from our players to improve the experience at CarbonPoker. From start times, buy-ins, structures, games offered, just about everything to do with tournaments themselves.
This is a place where your suggestions can be heard, and reviewed by us here at CarbonPoker.

$11 satellite SnG please. $10+$1 buy-in, winner take all - 1st place gets a $60 coupon.

Re: CarbonPoker.ag Tournament Improvement Thread
I don't know if it's quite the right place to make sng suggestions but:
-Add 150/300 and 300/600 levels to 6m hypers
-Lower rake on them slightly as well ($7 hypers at stars which are much deeper have lower rake than $5 hypers at merge. Please make rake competitive, top regs are only winning at 1-2% and grinding for RB).
-Add higher stake FL HUSNGs (At least through $100s, preferably, they only run through $21s now)
-Fix the hand for hand bugs (in certain tourneys h4h is starting after the money bubble in completely random spots...find and fix).
-Oh, also, fix limit rake. Lol...

Re: CarbonPoker.ag Tournament Improvement Thread
More deepstacks please!!! Maybe a $5 deepstack would be sweet. Also I know you're talkin tourneys here, but adding deepstack no blind increase heads up sng's would truly be the nuts!

Re: CarbonPoker.ag Tournament Improvement Thread
I would like to see more tournaments for just PLO. There are many for PLO8, but only a few for straight PLO in scheduled tournaments and none in SNGs other than DONs. Also, PLO would be great if they were 6 player tables instead of 9 or 10 player tables.
Another would be regular level or turbo level HU SNGs at $2 and $5 stakes. Right now, there are Superturbo HU SNGs at lower levels, but would like to see some $2 and $5 HU SNGs w/regular or turbo levels.
Thanks!

Re: CarbonPoker.ag Tournament Improvement Thread
Create a flagship or nightly tournament. Maybe something between $33-$55 12-15K Guarantee. It sucks being a med-stake player with no shot during the week at a playing a tournament with at least a 10K prizepool unless I want to pony up $215 to play against 50 of the best players on the network in the High Roller.
Also give us some more satty options to the 100K and bigger Sunday tournaments. I'd love to see some double satellites for these tournaments implemented.
Also, either add guarantees to these bounty freezeouts or create some bounty guaranteed tournaments. I see these run all the time but I dont think I've ever seen one with a guarantee. Add a small one to the $15 bounty at 16:30, start it small around 1.5-2K. Make the nightly a guaranteed bounty, spice it up.

Re: CarbonPoker.ag Tournament Improvement Thread
All guaranteed tournaments should start with 3000 chips. Not sure why some start 2000, 2500 and 3000. Just make them all 3000.

Re: CarbonPoker.ag Tournament Improvement Thread
and still tourneys arent running correctly. in the 5r 5k 45 pay, no h4h approaching bubble, but soon as a person was eliminated in 45th, h4h started even though we are now itm, and now it has quit that we are down to 40.
this needs addressed ASAP
just noticed that there are 2 tournaments that are same buy-in, same guaranteed. $11 2.5k freezeout and $11r 2.5k. Please move one of these up to 18:00, preferably the $11r 2.5k since it is going to be deeper stacked and take longer to complete. get it done please, it would be sweet!

This can easily be set up. I will try to have this in the schedule this week.

This is the right spot for your post Duncelanas. All of your points are great and are being reviewed. The hand for hand issue is being looked into and the same for the the fixed limit rake.

Re: CarbonPoker.ag Tournament Improvement Thread
**********UPDATES**********
Posted in the MTT Changes Thread
Here are some more changes to the current MTT Schedule.
- Firstly the $109 2nd chance and $11 1r/1a have been changed so players can register 6 hours in advance not 1.
- We have added two $500 freezeouts which will run daily at 03.00 ($5.50) and 08.00 ($11.00)
- The 00.00 $33 1r/1a is now $4,500 guaranteed instead of $3,000.
- The Daily High Roller has been changed to 9 handed from 10.
Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated here. We look forward to making more changes in the upcoming future.
Thanks.

Re: CarbonPoker.ag Tournament Improvement Thread
Hey CarbonChris,
First of all thanks for setting up a Carbon forum, I will have many more suggestions for you in all of these threads!
So you guys have been messing around with the pay jumps in tournaments today it looks like? In general I like the direction you are going, but it's a huge departure from the previous payout schedule which was VERY heavily weighted to 1st and 2nd place. And there are some things about it that are not good. So I am in this here night owl 4k guarantee and the payouts (with 18 places paid) are:
1: $988
2: $800
3: $520
4: $320
5: $256
etc..
So I like how there's now a differential for 15-18th and 13th-15th because it seemed like before the standard payout structure for an equivalent #of places paid was that 10th-20th all got the same min payout, and they didn't start increasing until the final table.
BUT.. now the difference in prize $ between first and second place ($188) is LESS than the difference between second and third place ($280)??? This is silly. It would be cool if you could tell us what kind of payout structure options you are working with and get some feedback from the community about what will make the most sense.
OK gotta go win
