Re: St.Louis, MO Poker Thread

Comps are now going on your card at Lumiere.
4/8 Omaha high is almost a red chip game and all the white makes the pots look so much bigger then 5/10. I think once the game gets going it will run several days a week.

Is it a lot different on the weekend vs the weeknights?
Is a little diffrent obv but your pretty much have a huge edge on the table since you play shorter handed which is harder so will be better in some tough spots than other casual ameristar 1/2ers. ameristar is the best on a Friday and Saturday, and monday Tuesday night is decent. Harrahs is the best during the day I never play there tho man because the Ameristar is closer and a rack comp points there.

PM me if you wanna talk more

Re: St.Louis, MO Poker Thread

I think I'm gonna start posting funny/crazy things I've seen so far playing live NL...

Last night 1-3 nl

Beginner player, has obviously played a bit, but pretty much clueless in all aspects he has maybe 180 in front of him, hes opened a few hands with weak raises with marginal hands, and has limped/called alot.

opens utg to $9 i call with a9s in middle position everyone else folds!

flop 249r. he bets $10 i call.

turn K he bets $15 i call.

river 7 he bets $15 again. I call.

He ANNOUNCES a pair of 4's, shows it and i quickly table my a9, he stands up to look at my hand, and quietly puts his other card on the table after 10 secs, i already had put tip out on my cards for dealer after waiting for most of those long 10 seconds, when i notice her look at the hands again in confusion, I then noticed that the other card he put down was a K.

I was laughing a bit and quietly stated "I got slowrolled!",

His Response:.............

Re: St.Louis, MO Poker Thread

you can actually tell that guy its against the rules to misrepresent his hand at showdown. not only is it rude, its against the rules. also from now on when i call him, he's either showing first or mucking. you only get to pull that **** once.

I'm a dumb****. I can't figure out how to PM you. I added you to my contacts, but I couldn't find the PM. Definitely PM me if you get a chance. Being my summer, I was hoping to make a solid amount before going back to school in mid August. I still play Bodog, and I think that'll be more profitable for me than live, but it's nice to have options. Ameristar only comps .50 or .75 per hour don't they? And yeah Ameristar is closer to me too. I live right across the bridge. I've heard Ameristar's environment is much more enjoyable too. But if Harrah's is softer, I'm willing to deal with the less stellar aspects of the poker room.

If I'm not mistaken, you can't PM anyone if you only have a couple posts.

Anyone here now at Lumiere? Pretty sure the security system got shut down or something and they kicked everyone off the floor.

Haha maybe that's the problem. It didn't seem like PM would be that difficult to find. Thanks!

Re: St.Louis, MO Poker Thread

If you are looking for variety, River City is the place to play. I was there Friday and they had 1-3 NL, 2-5 NL, 3-6 limit, 4-8 limit 1/2 kill, 3-6 omaha HL, and a 1-2-5 PLO game. 11 or 12 total games running.

Re: St.Louis, MO Poker Thread

Yes, I was there Friday too, was refreshing to see all of those games running, lots of action, lots of players that night. The only reason the 2-5 nl game was going was because there were 4 rich looking foreigners who were obviously together. When they announced that they were going to go eat dinner together, the whole game froze until they got back. THe regs wouldnt play a single hand without them. Of course they had to station a dealer at the table to guard all the chips (i guess?) the whole time, while the regs went back to the 1/3 tables until they were done eating..... I found the whole scene pretty sad and telling.

Wait, are you asking for a Limit Omaha game? Not high/low? Not Pot-Limit Omaha? That's a rare game, for sure.
