That's a Friday, Tulalip hit capacity last night as well. I meant more towards the mid week games. I think Fortune for those of you closer to it is an outstanding venue that brings more value than just supplying a room. They seem to really take care of the people and make sure they're comfortable.

Mean while, at Tulalip, we still can't get them to reconsider on simple things like call ins for any pure red chip game that's already running or increasing the buying on the garbage 1/3 structure they have now. It's not the floor, it's not the dealers, it's management. I've emailed and had staff ask management about the email and crickets. You call out the poker room on Twitter for positive constructive requests to improve the games, crickets. It's ridiculous that folks they've know for ten years they won't even have a discussion with about changes to help improve the room.

A lot of the PLO players have been talking to Snoqualmie and moving the majority of the PLO game there for the same reasons they get the 5/10 crowd on Monday's. It sucks for me living up north but if that's where PLO ends up that's where I'll have to go. They seem to actually give a ****. They don't even take a JP drop in 5/10 because they know we don't care about that. I have to give their staff some props, they've really turned around that room from what it once was.

Had lunch at Fortune yesterday and it was near capacity. As Steve said, high hand bonuses work.

This, plus the grilled pork vermicelli bowl for $6.60. I have been slacking on my FORTUNE FOOD REVIEWS due to reasons, but I can confirm that after months of horrible self-denial I've had no less than two dozen grilled pork vermicelli bowls in the recent past for $6.60 each + tip at Fortune Poker Room.

I have also discovered the secret tech as to why the GPVBs have been consistently :100: each time.

Oh, and Fortune being a lunch stop? How convenient!

It is only a good lunch spot when you don't run bad!

The tomato-basil soup is amazing at Fortune, and the fried pot stickers were good as well.

Thanks for the tip on the soup.

Friday night, table 5, 1/3 spread limit holdem. Seat 3 & 4 wore the same brand of clothes.

Seat 2 was the nice lady who smelled like an irish spring, who was replaced by guy that smelled musty with a hint of patchouli oil.

I played exactly 3 hands: AK, KQ, KK. I lost with KQ against irish spring lady.

I'm sad to see this thread inactive.

I have some questions about the current spread limit games in Seattle:

Anyone have the quick reason why Diamond lils in renton closed?

Are there any 1/2 games that run daily in the area? Even at some of the smaller indian casinos or local card rooms?

Are there good 1/3 games going daily now? Do these run at muck/tulalip/sno? Or have they all gone 2/5?

I've been watching poker atlas this week and I don't think I've seen more than 3 games running at the muck according to their site. Is it accurate? I know it's WSOP season, but their room used to be packed almost always. Did the action there die?

I'm really looking to get back into some regular 1/2 games. Barring that I would be looking for 1/3 games that run regularly. I'm in the sound sound very close to I-5. Where should I be looking?
thanks!

Edit: also what's the current rake structure like? Last I played 10% rake up to $3 + $2 jackpot rake was pretty standard. Is that the same?

Diamond lil's closed but reopened as Fortune poker in a new location about 4 miles south. It is now the best place to play 1/3 poker and it isn't even close. They offer $250 HH every 15 minutes. You better get there early as the list gets pretty long on Friday nights.

Fortune Poker did pretty much replace Diamond Lil's, but does it have the same owners? I thought DL's owners got in trouble with the government and lost their business license.

No, They lost their parking lot. So since they had nowhere for their players to park at all, They said **** it and shut down and are now leasing the place where FP is, that used to be a gambling establishment anyway so there was little overhaul to do there

Happen to be looking at Palace Lakewood's Bravo page and there is a list going for 1/3 PLO Wednesday. Just fyi, I don't partake.

Game goes every Wed and the play is pretty bad. The worst players have a tendency to hit and run if they get lucky early so it struggles to last til midnight. It could use some new blood, but no wizards are playing in that game.

You should do a quick google search and you can see the "real" story of what happened and how it happened.

Regardless, the player pool is similar and the crowd is as well. There are some new 1/3 players but mostly the lil's crew. It has to be said that the 1/3 games are extremely soft at times but player dependent.

20/40 isnt
8/16 reg heavy
4/8 donkalicious
High Hand promo's are ok if you are a limit player
Food is great (ask prices before you order, depends on who is the waitress)

Surprised to read that 20/40 game in Fortune isn't soft. What's the basis that the game is tough?

Looking at the line-up, hard to imagine the game being anything but soft.

When people say tough they probably just mean people aren't in there trying to give chips away. I imagine an average poker player looks at a weak-tight game and thinks it probably isn't very good.

Fortune Poker considering the Fortune Poker Series of Poker. This series will be complete with player of the year standings. The player of the year will receive an entry in to next year's Main Event and their picture will be featured on a giant banner facing HWY 167.

Events to include:
Event #1 $200 NL Hold'em.
Event #2 $200 Limit Hold'em
Event #3 $200 Omaha 8
Event #4 $200 Mix
Event #5 $500 NL Main Event

That would be sick if they did that (minus the banner) but I can't imagine them ever dedicating that many tables to a tournament series.

I'm gonna win the $200 LHE so might as well save time and just give me the monies now.

I'd take a rack of steve420s, Pendleton style.

Might be tricky to find the table space during the summer. After midnight there'd be plenty of room. How about a nightowl special, $200 turbos after midnight.

Also give us extra late reg. It was a really cool feature that the people at Run it Up Reno did. Late reg up to level 9. 9 may be a bit high given the # of tables

With how many people went to Pendleton, this kind of idea could fill 10 tables easy. Kind of like with the high hand promos, if you hold the tournaments, people will come. You could even charge usurious tournament fees... I'd pay extra to play in a $200 mix

Also, the clam chowder is much improved. Best clam chowder south of I-90 and north of 18

Last edited by steve420wa; 07-19-2017 at 04:12 AM. Reason: 10 tables

No I think you should win a few of them. If anyone needs their face on a banner facing the highway it's you pal!

I'm basically done with poker, but if they take money out of the cash game drop to fund the tourney promo, I'm not going back to Fortune.

Is there any way to find out the following information without sifting through 179 pages of the Seattle forum?

Are there any good public games in bars or clubs?

I don't know what is where as far as poker. (or Seattle for that matter)

Is there a master list saying which games are where? I know there's bravo, but are there a lot of smaller poker clubs or small casinos that are not on there?

thanks
