I'm interested in that 15/30 mix game @ Fortune. It would be cool to add more games. I'm more interested in the standard 8-game lineup than the obscure stuff (super stud?).

Also, I'm going to help get a 1/3 PLO game going at Palace in Lakewood when I get back from LAPC. Not sure how often it would run but I think on the non-HH days would be a good start.

Despite some veteran winners, overall Fortune's red chip O8 players are so bad that you will end up leveling yourself.

Play straight forward and treat them like how players played LHE back in the Moneymaker era.

No GTO needed.

How good must the 20 40 game if people are driving from Oregon to play it? I follow thaigrr on instagram and he regularly makes the 6 hour drive.

20 40 tips? Buy in for a 1k and play straightforward like you write above?

Were some crazy stacks at the 15 30 last week

Don't get why someone would drive from Oregon; I thought the game in La Center was better.

The idea at the moment is Monday nights 7pm (or so) to play a 15/30 TOE game (2-7 triple draw, Stud8, and Omaha8). The game would be 7 handed and only run if enough players sign up. We are also investigating adding some other games including but not limited to Badugi (and variants potentially), super stud, 5 card omaha, PLO (with cap), etc.

Rake is likely to be $5 per half hour although that is not set in stone yet.

If anyone is interested, please send me a PM so I can get a sense of the # of players that would be willing to play.

We are looking to start next Monday (1/23) or the Monday after (1/30). Let me know if anyone has questions.

We are on for Monday 1/23. Start time is 7pm. Rake is $3 (no time charge as of yet). Rotation is the same as listed above.

If you sent me a PM, I have replied to you, if you are interested in playing on Monday, let me know what name you would like to have on the list. I am reserving some slots for people in this thread, but if you don't get back to me by Saturday night, it will be first come first serve among the fortune regulars who are interested.

I was only referring to the O8 game there. I think the O8 game is more profitable than the 20/40 LHE as players make so many mistakes and the edge is still huge in that game.

There are days where the 20/40 looks juicy but you would end up playing a high variance game. Most 20 regs are pretty solid and don't make mistakes that often. I've seen a very few regs who bleed chips but it's barely -EV in the long run.

If someone is driving from Oregon to play instead of La Center, they probably have no clue. Most DL (now Fortune) regs played 30/60 to as high as 150/300 for living and now they are just stuck at Fortune just beating the game for 1BB/hour.

It probably should be the other way around - driving to La Center to play instead of Fortune.

What's the ante structure for stud8?

The plan was to do $5 so we can use all red chips. It's open for discussion. Monday will be $5 to start though.

If the game fills up would they be willing to spread a 10-20 2-7 TD game for us who were waiting?

Probably not the first day. This is a pilot of sorts to gauge interest and determine the viability of running a long term mix game. There will possibly be an O8 only game running @15/30 limit that night though.

Sweet 7pm start time. I will almost certainly be there at start time as long as my wife doesn't nag me too bad

Sorry, I appreciate you starting this gave but this decision is very very wrong. $3 is standard for $20/40, almost always.

Ante in 15/30 game is $2. Bring in is $5. Have to use some lower denomination chips. Hope this game gets off the ground.

Right. I've never heard anyone say ante chip color was an issue in a well established stud game. Well, above the Hideaway learners' 3/6, ha.

Won't there be $1 chips in play anyway from the rake?

This. $5 ante for 15-30 is just lol. Going to make it play way bigger than the other two games(which is never good when you have a mix). A stud 8 specialist could go and just sit out the other two games completely not that that is likely to happen.

Point taken, it's not an issue to have smaller chips in play. We can adjust the ante to $2 if that is the standard with a bring in of $5.

Thanks for the interest and assistance.

$5 ante is pretty absurd. Sorry I just noticed this. BI is $5 almost always as others have noted.

Every game is a two-chip game anyway. Blues and reds are fine.

We kicking this off tonight?

Yup, there are 8 on the list right now if you check the fortune website. Starting the game @7pm.

I'll be there around 900 pm, although it's looking like I could be locked out given the interest level. Going to play 7 handed I believe.

On Sunday nite the 1/3 game at the Fortune i was in had about 7k worth of chips on the table. For those wondering if it can be as 'crazy' as the Tulalip, if the right people are in the game, for sure!

As of 5:15 am looks like it's still going. I had fun. Not the easiest lineup in the world but that's how it usually works to start out. Give it a couple of weeks to generate buzz.
