I've never played at Barona, but at Pala (and if I remember correctly, Harrah's Rincon) have "no flop no drop". If there is no flop, then all the money goes to the winner of the hand. All the money. No jackpot drop even.

On the flip side, if one person limps, the small blind folds and the big blind checks, *all* the money goes in the drop and you get to play for pride.

Oceans is no flop no drop as well. LA dropping without of a flop is ****ing stupid. Pisses me off every time it happens.

In other news if my rage thrown cards incidentally hit anyone in the 8/16 at Ocean's last night, I apologize. Unless you were the slow rolling asian dude, then screw you man... how many times can you hit a straight against my monsters!

last night was packed to the brim at O11. maybe noticeable effects of black friday? plo was good. a lot of money on the table for a "1/2" game. haha. i love it when i get berated for calling a small flop bet on the button with a gutter to the nuts, hitting and making another $650 on the hand.

Is he's lucky chips formation. lol

hahaha, no not the lucky bet formation dude. I liked having him in the game for obvious reasons, that and I had position on him until he left.

There was another guy that was playing late at night that kept hollywooding "omg what do I do, argh do I call" on the river then all of the sudden raising and acting cool like hitting a gutshot after taking two to the face on the flop means he's the best player at the table. ****ing annoying.

Cousin was telling me where he plays in Colorado, not only is it no flop no drop, but if there is a flop, someone bets and takes it down, then there is no drop as well. Sweet!

I think Casino Arizona has the same policy.

If anyone has any interest in getting a regular 1-2 PLO game going please let me know.
What's the full lineup. Any FL. How far and what direction?

That is what I mean by no flop no drop. Pala, Oceans11, Harrahs Rincon (the last time I played there a few months back) all have this policy. No jackpot drop even.

dropping jackpot when there is no flop is asinine.

A couple months ago Sycuan told me that they hadn't even had their 6/12 LHE game running, but this was after I was told the first time that 6/12 ran then I called right before I was gonna go and the guy laughed at me saying "6/12 hasn't ran in a year man!". I just called them now and they said that on the weekend evenings they have no only gotten a 6/12 going but a 8/16 as well.

Lady was kind of shady tho (as most casino reps are when asking what games run). "If the players get on the list we run the game", to which I respond "well I called a few months ago and he said that the 6/12 hadn't even ran in a long time, now your saying you have 8/16. Have a lot more players been coming to the room lately?" She responds "um... It's sporadic". Of course I can understand them not wanting to give negative information about their room, and that is even good for the players. If you are pessimistic about a game running, no players will show, if you say it will run people will show. There is this whole song and dance whenever a new game starts that has a lot of people sitting at other tables, they look over, shift side to side in their seat and go "o it doesn't look like a good game". Most of the time I have to keep myself from saying "if you go over there it will be I guarantee it!"

Great customer service obv... I'll just have to drop in some weekend. If 8/16 runs on the weekends and 6/12 runs often during the week then I'm not going to Oceans. So ****ing far for me. Sycuan is like 20min. I just need to figure out what to do with my shotgun if I want to shoot trap at the range right next door and then go play cards.

Maybe so, but at most casinos here in SoCal, no flop either results in a jackpot drop or a "modified" $1 drop. The upside to the modified drop though is that it really discourages the blinds from chopping since the SB is losing his/her dollar anyways. The worse is to go to one of these no flop no drop places, watching one person in EP call, the SB muck and the BB check. The casino takes the drop and the pot is $0.

in oceans when there is one limper and it folds to the big blind the big blind raises, the limper folds and it is a chop. Some dealers get pissed if you talk about it and do it but most will say "just make it look good so we can get to the next hand"

Yes - I know how that works. But, a lot of players aren't that sophisticated. Even when explained to them they don't understand and just want to see a flop. LOL. I just won't limp in EP. If EP limps and I'm in the BB, I'll raise.

o i'm not saying all the fish understand what's happening, lol!

I'm just saying that there are ways to avoid the dumb drop.

the 6/12 was running every day for about a month then it died off, no 8-16....

Went to Pechenga for the first time in a year or so. When did they change the buyin structure for the low limit games? It's horrible now. They have a 1/2 NL game with a max BI of 100 and a $5 drop.

Anyone on here play at Palomar regularly?

Hmm. It's been that way for a long time (at least a year). What did you think it used to be? Are you sure you don't have it confused with some of the nearby rooms that offer 100BB buy in 1/2? A few months back they *did* start taking a modified $1 drop if there was no action and the blinds chop.

Palomar has a 2-3 nl (100-300 buy in) and a 5-10 nl (300-3000 buy in)

Come to think of it.....it was probably a couple years ago. They used to spread a 1/3 NL or 2/3 NL game with a max buyin of $300. I played in it several times.

I know...I used to play there regularly. Since Black Friday, I've starting going again occasionally. I was wondering if anyone on here plays there frequently. I'm planning on going today actually.

The last time I was there (about two weeks ago) they had the 100/200 limit mixed game going. The owner of the place (who often plays) was sitting with about 80K in front of him. Crazy.

Anyone from SD playing MTTs live? I'm not talking about the $40 shove-aments, but the California State Championships tournaments and stuff like that.
