Yes- agreed: I only played it because my girlfriend was at that table (and she actually did quite well turning a hot run of sets and straights into a nice profit) and I was being sociable before my domination of the PLO Table (ha!). Truthfully I am not even that enamored of 2/3, but yeah: the 2/2 was ridiculous.
Still, though we finally did play a hand against each other (though it wasn't heads up). A couple of limpers in the pot and I was looking at 56ss so I went ahead an limped in. 3 more limpers including the gf on the button.
The flop was 348 and the BB leads out for $8 (he wasn't very good). I call, a third person calls and my gf tanks for a bit, and min-raises to $16 (sigh... I've told her not to min-raise). Blind folds and I really want to call: I've got about $90 and she has nearly $200 and I've told her time and time again
if you're going to raise, raise bigger! She insists that everyone would just fold if she raised more and we talked about and I'm actually not sure what the optimal line would be on that board (I was also thinking about call and raise the turn). But anyways: I really wanted to call that min-raise and try to spike a 2 or 7 on the turn because I knew she had a set or two pair there. But I just folded and talked to her about it afterwards.
A couple of questions: she made quads on a hand and got a ticket for a Thursday drawing. Problem is, we are moving away from San Diego on Tuesday. Does anybody know what the payouts on the ticket drawings average, and what the chances of winning are usually?
