i've seen call ins on the board for all these games recently. Also since you have the # you could... I don't know... ask them?

may drop in this weekend (depends how quickly my stars money comes in). Down to grab a beer with another 2p2er, unless you are the dbag that was giving me **** when I 2 outered an old nit on the river in a overpair versus overpair battle about 2 weekend ago. Then go **** yourself.

I will most likely in a Red Wings jersey. I played in the 20 out on a business trip 3 years ago but play much less frequently now after getting re-hitched, so will try the 8 this time.

going to be down in san diego friday and saturday, where is the best spot for PLO action5-10+? Is the half/half game still going at Palomar? Any chance of getting a short handed PLO game at O11? Is 10-10 NL at O11 around the clock? What's the consistent NL action at Palomar like?

the only place with a big-ish plo game is the palomar card club. most recently i've heard the game is 10-20-40 plo, sometimes half/half. unlikely to get a shorthanded plo game going at o11, unless you wait it out and play deep into the night when people start leaving.

the 10-20nl game runs on tuesdays and fridays at o11, usually starting in the early afternoon on both days, sometimes going til the next morning.

No, I was sitting in the 7 seat. I joined the game when they made a 2nd table and played for about 3 hours. I ran really good, turning my 400 into almost 1100. My girlfriend was sitting behind me reading a book or something.

Ended up going to Village Club the night after and won 160 in the 2/3 game. I am not sure how this happened since I lost 3 times after flopping 2 pair...it was a VERY good game.

Having a hard time finding a good game the last couple of times at Village and Palomar: so many short stackers at each table! How do you guys adjust to a table of weak/tight fish with stacks around $50?

Hmm, when I went there, there seemed to be some decent sized stacks. Against weak-tight short-stackers, I guess you raise a lot and fold if they shove? Seems like kindof a silly game.

Made it out to O11 Thurs Eve. Got in 8/16 fairly quick, not too much excitement other than a flopped set running into a flush in a kill pot. That table broke and as last guy in I got put back on the list. So played 4/8 and got destroyed. 47o stayed in for 3! In a kill, T-ragoff taking down pot after pot. Total droolers, some asian lady in a hat played any two and won 3 racks. Great game but only dragged five pots in 3 hours. Finally got called to 8 after 10 but too late to take. Should be back tomorrow.

Sat around for over 3 hours at Oceans 11 friday waiting to get on the PLO table. By the time we were ready to leave I had inched my way up from #3 to #1 on the list... ah well!

I played 2/2 NLHE to pass the time and was not a fan of the game: $4 rake every hand plus $1 jackpot plus $1 tip when you win just did not make it a good game IMO. Even by the end of the night when we had three ridiculous players at our table that were three betting over 40% of hands I just couldn't get a good hand in the right spot to get it all in. Ah well!

2/3 is super soft and has a $300 buy-in (and I'm a limit player). playing the 2/2 $100 buy-in is DUMB, waste of time.

Yes- agreed: I only played it because my girlfriend was at that table (and she actually did quite well turning a hot run of sets and straights into a nice profit) and I was being sociable before my domination of the PLO Table (ha!). Truthfully I am not even that enamored of 2/3, but yeah: the 2/2 was ridiculous.

Still, though we finally did play a hand against each other (though it wasn't heads up). A couple of limpers in the pot and I was looking at 56ss so I went ahead an limped in. 3 more limpers including the gf on the button.

The flop was 348 and the BB leads out for $8 (he wasn't very good). I call, a third person calls and my gf tanks for a bit, and min-raises to $16 (sigh... I've told her not to min-raise). Blind folds and I really want to call: I've got about $90 and she has nearly $200 and I've told her time and time again if you're going to raise, raise bigger! She insists that everyone would just fold if she raised more and we talked about and I'm actually not sure what the optimal line would be on that board (I was also thinking about call and raise the turn). But anyways: I really wanted to call that min-raise and try to spike a 2 or 7 on the turn because I knew she had a set or two pair there. But I just folded and talked to her about it afterwards.

A couple of questions: she made quads on a hand and got a ticket for a Thursday drawing. Problem is, we are moving away from San Diego on Tuesday. Does anybody know what the payouts on the ticket drawings average, and what the chances of winning are usually?

don't worry about the ticket. not worth much. every full house or better that is shown down gets a ticket, so there are probably thousands of tickets in the drawing every week.

q: why would you move away from san diego?

I might be going down to San Diego to play in some of the 18 + casino`s and I will not have access to a car. I was wondering if the shuttles are recommended if I stay somewhere downtown.

Or is there maybe someone that goes to any of the indian casino`s daily that wants to split gas moneys? Ill be there from 22 - 28 may.

The best casino to play at in San Diego right now is Sycaun. Not only do they have a brand new poker room, after black friday action is better than ever. Last friday, and saturday there was not one table in the whole room that did not have a game going. They have a 2-4 NL about 3 nights a week. and last friday there was a 5-5 PLO heads up match going. If anyone has any interest in getting a regular 1-2 PLO game going please let me know.

Just read their website and it says 18+ to enter casino. Does that mean you can play at 18+? Might be a moronic question, but I would like to know. If so then I would interested in the 1-2 PLO.

Yes. They are one of five 18+ casinos in Socal - Morongo, Viejas, Sycuan, Barona and Chumash.

SD is a great place to play live low limit poker for 18+(1-2, 2-4 nl). Viejas is completely dead and it seems like Sycuan has picked up all their business. as i have said already on Friday night there are plenty of games usually.

I was just at Morongo the other night and I was talking to some kid. He told me at Borona there is no rake preflop. Is this true or was he just talking out of his ass.
