What's going on with Omaha at O11 lately? Does it still run? If so, what stakes/buyins? Also, does the 2/3 300 max NLHE run all the time? Thanks for the info, guys.

PLO runs at least every Friday and occasional other times. 1/2/5 with a $200 - 500 buy in. 4/8 o8 runs all the time.
2/3 nl $300 max runs all the time with up to 4 or 5 tables during peak times.

Have you been playing the Friday night PLO lately?

For those who play at Oceans 11, have you seen a cute Asian girl with short pixie hair playing in the 40-80 lhe game?

I've never seen her there before.

Yes. She's a former regular who is the girlfriend of a 2+2er.

Other than Palomar, are there any SD rooms that occasionally spread the badugi, baduci, 2-7 etc?

Does Oceans 11 ever spread those games? I know that O11 will spread Omaha on Fri nights, was wondering if they have a different night for the other less common games.

Palomar spreads baduci? Wow, nice.

I don't know anywhere to play a live badugi or duece to seven game in SD. But grab 6 friends and come to Pala, I'll play baduci with ya.

last week when the plo game got short handed later in the night, we played badugi / 2-7td / plo rotation. everybody has to agree on the games. and if someone new comes in who wants only plo, then that's what we play. about a month ago, we played stud hi/O8/plo mix.

as far as i know, other than isolated high stakes heads up type games ($10k freeze outs etc.), there are not any other non-holdem games that run at all at oceans 11.

Hey all,

I'm going to San Diego at the end of February this month for business for about a week. I would like to find a place with 15-30 through 40-80.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Oceans-11 spreads 8-16 kill, 20/40, and 40/80.

20/40 goes pretty much every day, with one or two tables. The game may go overnight, but typically breaks sometime in the early morning hours, say around 3 to 4 am.

40/80 typically goes Thursday and Friday, and occasionally Wednesday. Don't expect a 40/80 game on Saturday night. The 40/80 game can be hit or miss lineup wise, and sometimes short, and usually breaks earlier than the 20/40, but not always.

The 20 game is usually almost always good.

i speak from absolutely zero experience so take that at face value, but I thought the Palomar Card Club in El Cajon runs games comparable to what you seek. but i've never been. just what I thought i've heard. maybe somebody who plays that big can confirm or deny. or at least give them a call and see what they run.

Only Oceans has mid-stakes limit. Nothing limit at Palomar at these stakes. BTW Palomar is in the City of San Diego (North Park area) on El Cajon Blvd.

I've probably relayed this more than once, but O-11 20/40 game was amazing (over 2 years ago now).

While I was waiting to post, on a Face-Face-8-Little-Little board, the river goes BET, CALL, OVER-CALL, OVER-OVER-CALL with the OVER-OVER-CALL guy rolling over A8 as we made his call.

Whole game played like that

Haha. The one time I played the O11 20/40, I raised utg with AKdd. The standard 5 callers or whatever. I flop 2 overs and the NFD and play a huge pot with 4 way action and an all in from a shorty. I end up bricking out completely, and lose to J4s (betting and raising bottom pair of 4s) and Q5o (the all in shorty who was all in on the flop after flopping a 5).

Really? U can't find a better spot than to call an utg raise with J4s and Q5o? Anyway, it was obv a good game.

I would go on the internet and GOOGLE your options. Oceans is so far North you are almost in Orange County.

Pechanga/Barona/Oceans and Harrahs are a few options that come to mind.

I have no idea what cash games they have I just know they offer Poker.

None of the local San Diego Indian casinos spread mid-limit games (8/16 and higher). Only Oceans-11 in north San Diego County spreads them on a regular basis. Palomar club occasionally gets an 8/16 game going, but is really known for high stakes no-limit, omaha, and mixed games.

If you can stand a drive, you can also go to Hawaiian Gardens (about 1 1/2 hours away) where they spread 8-16, 15-30, and 20-40.
