Seven Mile has its own app on the App Store. It's not the best app, but it lists the games. I've asked about improvements to it, and they told me an update is due at the end of the month. I don't think you can sign-up for games with the app until you've registered your number with the desk to link it to the app.

Weekdays has a 5-10 PLO game, and week-ends has a 2-3, 5 bring-in PLO game. The room only plays max 9 tables, so there's usually only 1 PLO table running, occasionally with a 2nd must-move, and the rest is around 4-6 2/3 NLHE, 0-2 5/5NLHE and 1 4/8 LO8

Hi, I'll be in San Diego for a few days soon. I'm looking for live cash NLH games, up to 5/5.

Is the Poker Atlas summary below up to date? And what would you recommend?

Keep in mind that I am from Vancouver, where wait times are typically 3+ hours, rake is 10% up to $10 plus jackpot plus high hand take plus tips (so $14+ for all pots over $100), there are no player incentives, and nearly all recs have predictably left the scene leaving only rocks and regs to play. This is the standard a San Diego casino has to meet or exceed to seem interesting to me.

I'm from Vancouver but have played at all of those poker rooms. I like seven mile and where it's located. Same for oceans 11.

I just played at Ocean's 11 and Seven Mile last week. Both are great rooms with plenty of action.

I really liked Seven Mile -- wonderful view, good food, and I enjoyed the dealers and other players. The 2/3 NLHE had plenty of action and bad play -- I didn't even leave the game when my 5/5 was called because it was such a good table. The 2/3/5 PLO on the weekend was a very good game, but reg-infested, as was the 5/10 PLO. Both play very big.

Ocean's 11 had a good vibe, too. Ended up in the 1/3/15 MAS (or whatever it was). Crazy game with tons of regs and huge stacks. Fun, though. The NLHE I sat at for a little while was fine. Again, nice players and friendly dealers.

How does the action compare? Wait times?

Do they make Vancouver look as bad as I think it is? lol

It is a crazy game. $15 mandatory blind UTG. BU has to put $10 on button and SB wins that money (it accumulates) if he wins the hand. Dealer change is a $25 PLO bomb pot. Win w/ 72 and everyone has to give you $25. On the hour (I think that's when it is), everyone can match the biggest stack -- which was around $4,000 when I sat down.

I think I got it all, but might have missed something Fun game if you are rolled for it.

Hmm.. I've played Oceans a few times but never seen that game. Did you do anything special to get into it? Do you know if it always runs?

Nothing special. We just got on the list. No idea if it always runs. It was a Wednesday afternoon. The "MAS" might be wrong, but it was something like that.

Can anyone give me a recommendation for the best Omaha (preferably 5 card) in the San Diego area? Thanks in advance.
