Sounds like a cool idea. What range would the buy in be?

EDIT: I would love to draw Barber in round 1. My concern is I won't get to face him if it's not in rnd 1.

IMO more because of losing a designated TD than because of the perpetrator. Some have chose to sensationalize it to the point of exhaustion, I choose to except it and move on, guess I'm going to hell, but luckily I don't believe in god.

"Allegedly" was added for dramatic effect

Side Note: the player in question has since been permanently 86'd, but the damage has already been done. <I've always wanted to say that last part :-)

Let's see how many WPT regulars will complain about the "Top Notch" brand cards that Thunder Valley uses (instead of the industry standard KEM cards.)

The "Top Notch" cards:

- jams the SHFL machines regularly

- picks up dirt quickly

- are marked easily with fingernails

300 (+/- 30) players would be about right for an UNTELEVISED WPT event at Thunder Valley.

i was given a couple of decks of these, they were turned down at flb b/c the colors are a little weird, cards are too light and the red doesn't look great imo

And the optical card reading capabilities for automatic shufflers to manipulate action as needed. If you think this doesn't happen at brick and mortars then you're just another player in denial. Good luck and fair play! Not!

Playing hand shuffled decks vs auto shufflers. I've played at casinos in Vegas that mostly hand shuffle and feel action is true. Come back to Sac at our local Casinos and feel the action not true due to auto shufflers. Just keep an open mind. These dealers have been working at these places a long time. They know the tricks. All about keeping new action coming in and leveling. Same with online play. I noticed chip dumping on some low stakes sit n go's on bet online the other day. With technology good and bad occur. It's competitive advantage at its best.

I once saw a guy open fold AA from the big blind vs a $15 utg raise in a 2/5 game at Thunder Valley because the dealer hand shuffled the deck after a misdeal and the guy was convinced that the dealer was trying to set him up.

It was the most mind-boggling thing I had ever seen at that point in my poker career. It now makes more sense.

Thunder is doing well if the only thing we are complaining about is the cards now. Lol. I just spent a week in Florida and played both cash and tournament games in the "busiest" poker room in the Miami area. I took notes of how awful it was. Thunder is now like heaven compared to some other places, especially when it comes to running a tournament correctly. I saw some of the silliest things.

Thunder valley WPT isn't televised? Who said?

It's not a $1,500 regional stop. Are you saying they don't televise all the main events?

Not all WPT main events are televised. Besides Thunder Valley, Venice and Jacksonville won't be televised either.

WPT Thunder Valley will be streamed live, but will not be post-produced for TV.

As for the crappy "Top Notch" cards used at Thunder Valley: Thunder Valley management (read: Ben Erwin) simply refuses to acknowledge the problems with the cards. Because Top Notch is based in Elk Grove, I would NOT be surprised if "grease" were applied to key "palms".

Yes, Thunder actually has come quite a long way. I have started coming in through the hotel to try to avoid some of the smoke (probably a minimal impact at best) and they now allow black chips even at 2/5 so I am almost out of complaints

Welllll more like 5/5, and really only when they run out of greens.

But yeah I'm really happy with the progress Thunder has made.
