I lived there for a chunk of time and I guess it depends on your taste but the nightlife tends to revolve around the tourist crowd which isn't my bag. Maybe say what you're looking for?

Total bump on this because I might be heading back for a visit and didn't even know this place existed. Better than driving to Biloxi? I never played Ebro either.

No the standard 1-2 game is a $40-$200 buyin but there will often be a no max buy in game running that can play very deep, it's usually a $100 min and there can be $5000 on the table or more.

The 2-5 game rarely runs anymore but when it does its normally a no max buy in game with a min buyin of $200-$400

I hadn't been to the dog track in almost a year. I went last night, and it was an extremely soft 1-2 game. I didn't see any 2-5 going, but I left around 9:30 pm.

I play there occasionally, but typically play in Biloxi. I've visited pensacola poker room five times in the last year although i will be there this weekend for the PPC event ($50k tourney).

I'm in Mobile so almost just as close to go to Biloxi and more options/less rake by playing in biloxi vs pensacola.

Red Roof Inn, right off, I-10, or anything in that neighborhood. I can usually find an acceptable room nearby for sub $75.
Decent restaurant mix as well, including Ruby Tuesday, and their always good Salad Bar.
Approx 5 mile drive to track/poker room

Any talent in that room is easily discernible. There isn't much. Usually two NL games going, with different buy-in levels. Lower BI will have a few Old Man Coffee types, check-call, check-call, won pot. Higher BI will be a bit of a rodeo, depending on who's playing.

My sample size is small, 2 nights a year for the last 5 years. Overnight stop on the way to West Palm area. Sometimes I've played the nightly MTT, if the return was worth it. Tournament play is truly nitty, not much concept of value and pot odds. Small BI, semi-short stax to start, a late shove fest, as usual.

Bumping this thread. I'm new to the area and here and Ebro are both about an hour from me. Wondering how the game is? Rake? I usually play 1/2 or 2/5, OH when I'm in the swing of things.

I play there whenever I visit family in the area. I don't play a lot (anywhere) but I have had my best sessions in that room. I've never seen so many people buy in for the minimum. Repeatedly. Last time I was there....
