The holiday inn down the street is pretty good. I stayed there and its about 100/night. Its really close to the seneca, you can walk or drive. less than 5 min drive, about 10 min walk.

I totally agree! I live in toronto and its the closest casino. i have swung +1800, -800, -500, +1500, -1000... but i have been on a downswing lately... I am trying to get my psyche back in the game...

I personally find casino niagara dealers to be more competent than the fallsview dealers (2/5, I haven't taken a stab at the 5/10, 10/20 games). seneca dealers are the best in comparison to both. there is a lot of action in the 2-5 in fallsview, few regulars, tourists and casual players.

I'd love to hear what you think of the players in both casinos.

More Nits at Casino Niagara but I have had no trouble running my stack up over the 1k mark there a few times. You do have some good players and bad, just make good table selection and get the right seat once you get to the table and I would say its the same for Fallsview.

Bump!
Im heading down this weekend for a buddy's bachelor party (Fri-Sun)... Ill be in and out of casino Niagara all weekend. Anyone else gonna be around?

Also, im looking for a restaurant suggestion for Friday night? We're heading to Tony Roma's on Saturday with about 18 of us, but need somewhere for friday (bout 10 of us). Any suggestions? We're not really looking for a "classy" spot, pub grub will definitely do... Thanks in advance

oh, also... does Niagara run tournaments this weekend or anything? Ive tried looking online but its blocked at work, and my internet is MIA for the next couple of days at home... so any help is appreciated. cheers

Stay away from restaurants in the tourist district the markup is huge. Id try Mick and Angelos on Lundys Lane its a good price and good meal and not out of the way. Ive seen tournaments on weekdays but never on weekends at both the old Niagara and Seneca. I dont really go to the new one so I couldnt tell ya.

There are no more tourneys at any of the casinos in Niagara.
Friday try the noodle bar in the back of Fallsview. It's actually got decent prices, and top notch food. You can't go to a casino without going to the noodle bar. They also have a sushi bar in the same area. Food is reasonable and quick. The restaurant also over looks the Falls so it's pretty cool.

For you bachelor party i assume your going to dragonfly, be forwarned most girls are snobby, best to wait till 2am when the drunks spill out into the casino. Between 2am and 3am is the best time to mop up the ladies as they stop getting picky looking for a 9.5.

If you have no luck with the ladies, take a cab to the Sundowner (strip club). Great girls, good dances, some will do extra. Cab should be no more then $15. Drop a line to the cabby like "its good to be home" etc... so they don't try to rip you off cause most will.

Have fun...

Thanks for the responses guys... Appreciate it
Im heading down there 2pm Fri and come back about the same time on Sunday, looking forward too it.

Best club in town? I stayed at the Comfort Inn (I think, maybe holiday inn?) right beside tourist lane and they had a club there? Forget what its called but I know where its at, any reviews on that place? (its right across from BK) Cause we're looking to hit 2 different clubs (one each night)

Also, do you know if Casino Niagara still does comp parking for players cards people? Again, when I was there in December, they were charging for it.

Thanks again guys

Edit: Found the club (I think)... Rumours? Any reviews?
That dragonfly place looks very pretentious lol ... any other clubs in the area worth checkin out? Maybe its just a good idea to head over to Lundy's and take it from there?

I just came back from my trip to Niagara Falls.

2/5 is the smallest game at Fallsview and as you would expect 80% of the table bought in for either $100 or $200. So it really sucks.

5/10 plays like a 2/5... I sat down at a new 5/10 table and 3 people bout in for $200... Everyone else bought in for about $500-$600. I was the only person who bought in for the max ($1000).

Pretty much everyone was a fish who didn't know how to play at all, some people it was their first time playing (didn't know what a big/small blind is). There was almost no raising preflop. I'd say about 90% of the hands everyone at the table just limps in and its a family pot.

I didn't play at Casino Niagara or Seneca.

That's lame. When I went to school in WNY I started playing at Fallsview as soon as I turned 19 (6 years ago). The 5/5 game was such absurdly easy money and everyone was always deep. The 5/10 was also super soft and the 25/50 looked ridiculous as well, although I never sat down. I guess all the degens from NF are broke and tourism isn't doing so hot.

Thinking of heading down to Niagara this weekend. Have any of you tried that bus that goes from Toronto that's pretty cheap IIRC?

Thanks for your input. I'm looking to build my "live bankroll" a bit more at Casino Niagara $1-$2 before taking my shot at the $2-$5 at Fallsview. Good to know that the game is just as soft as the $1-$2 game at Niagara.

It drops you off at Fallsview so you're going to have to walk/cab to Casino Niagara.

Its only a 10min walk from fallsview to niagara...

That bus is a good deal, taken it a few times from yonge + finch in toronto, was slightly awkward as the bus was 95% azn and average age was 70+, lol

Thanks guys, unless anyone has heard of any safety issues surrounding that bus, I'll probably take it as well this weekend. Seems like they run pretty often too, which makes it convenient, and a lot cheaper than driving. Plus can sleep.
