Any difference in the Fallsview games since the electronic poker tables opened in Toronto? I haven't been to Fallsview in about six months. Is it any less busy now?

It did impact it at first but its less and less every week. Today they had 6 2/5 tables going at 5pm. Part of that is because bbj is over 100K and people are still off for holidays but its slowly coming back to what it was before woodbine opened.

How have the cash games been at Seneca of late. I'm making a trip to Bradford over the weekend and may stop there on Saturday evening if the games are any good.

Wow, no answer in almost 12 hours. That means players there don't use this forum. I think that is a very good sign. I just might have to drop by.

I'll give a small Seneca update I haven't read back to far so IDK if some of this infos posted.
Seneca now gives out daily high hand awards , Straight flushes and Quads. If the hand is hit ( say quad 4's ) the next time it can be hit is the next day, if it doesn't get hit it rolls over. I forget all the details but I think it starts at 75 and add 75 a day, don't quote me on that. Anyway its free money for a decent hand

It seems of late the 2/5 game is really getting going especially on the weekends , Ive seen 3 or 4 tables of it almost at any time. I've actually seen 5/10 lists up
The 200 game which used to be one of if not the best game going is nitting up. The 100 players taking there shot are way to tight and with the 2/5 game going well again the gamblers have moved up.
the 100 game is still...the 100 game ... full of win, gotta bring 2 -3 buys though because the chances or getting sucked out on is HIGH cause that standard buy in is so low. Once you get above 200 on that table though you pretty much get a license to print money.

Little more info:

The quads start @ $25 per day
The straight flushes start @ $75 per day
The Royals start @ $125 (I think) per day

Once they get hit, they reset @ 9am the next day. (or increment @ 9am)

...and I agree about the $100 tables...

Description of 100 max game is perfect. Once you build a stack it is a snowball. Getting there can include some frustrating variance. I hopped in 2-5 game and it was surprisingly soft the other day.

I'm not surprised the 200 game became a nit fest , the 2/5 game is where the gamble is now happening. I used to play the 5/10 game before the BBJ ruined it ( everyone wanted to try and win the bbj and thus time games got axed). I now find the 100 game risk /reward ratio to be better thent he 2/5 . I had a decent win rate at 2/5 there but the 100 game is win teh same amount for 1/5th the risk

PS I will be up there tomorrow night , if anyone else wants to say hi PM me

Hey guys I am coming to town in about 10 days to stay and grind online for a few months. Can anyone tell me where you'd look for an apartment? I'm checking craigslist but I keep getting results for Hamilton and other far away places. Also does anyone have a cheap hotel recommendation for the start?

Thanks!

2/5 at Seneca is so hit or miss, some nights its good some nights I wonder why I bother. I'm there 3-4 times/wk if I'm in town and it just gets so boring to play $500 max. Wish they would do some kind of 1k max or buy up to a certain percentage of the largest stack

Hamilton is on the far end of the area but it's only 45 minutes from Niagara Falls. You can also look for apartments in Port Colborne, St. Catherines and of course Niagara Falls. If you are staying on the US side you can look for Buffalo and suburbs around Buffalo.

The 100 games are similar to Indian Poker nobody is being tricky beyond maybe an internet "pro" type. The games vary from passive rocks to donks who call three bets with connectors oop but fit or fold on the flop. Virtually nobody has heard of stealing in the games.

Problem with this is you don't always get the best results and wind up looking through dozens of pages of ads/websites before you find anything decent or with lots of options. That's why I came here to ask people who might know for a reliable place to look. Thanks for your sarcasm though, here's some in return. Awesome job making 4,000 posts buddy, everyone here cares and is really proud of you!

you can put it on the board , usually they want to play 2/5 (10) though. The way the 2/5 games have been going pretty steady of late I am sure you can spart interest for just a 2/5 1k game too

btw who ever was teaching the fish what ROI is on Friday....stop that right now!

On Friday they had a 2/5 500min/1000max table, and 2 other 2/5 500max tables.

The 100 table I was at was pretty decent, but once someone was in the pot they were going all the way...so you had to adjust for that.

st.catherines.kijiji.ca is your best bet for something on the CDN side. Niagara Falls listings are there.

Anyone know if they will run 2-5 1000 max today. It is too far for me to drive for the 100bb bull sh*t.

Normally I only get a chance to go on Fridays, but the times I have gone on Sundays or the weekdays I have not seen anything more then 500max.

I would assume Fri / Sat are the only 2 days they would run, but you can call 18778736322 and ask for the Seneca Niagara Poker room (then ask them)
