To be honest the 2/5 game was frequently short on a weekday afternoon and then filled up with the after work crowd. I guess (a) full table(s) only run on Fridays through Sundays.

The past couple of times that I have gone to Fallsview, there has been a PLO game running. Is it true that the 5/10 PLO at Fallsview has replaced the Omaha games at Seneca after Travell Thomas and 14 other people were charged in the $31 million debt collection scam?

Planning on going to Niagara next weekend. Do 200PLO games run regularly on the weekend?

Yes, Fallsview has been running a PLO game regularly, including today.

Can anyone who plays near Buffalo give the latest on the poker scene? I like to play either 2/5 or 5/10 NLHE. Should I go across border or play on US Side - where is the action? Thanks in advance.

I would like to know the cash game types, blinds, and type of action typical at Seneca Allegany. I grew up around there and find an excuse to visit when I can. Thanks!

The money is at Fallsview where there will be up to 14 2/5 tables, at least one 5/10, and one or more WPT satellite tables.

It's the same as Seneca Niagara Falls but there is no poker on Mondays and Tuesdays and Wednesday and Thursday the cards fly from 10am to 3am and Friday to Sunday it's 10am to 5am. Also they have 1/3 three days a week. The room is slow(obviously), when the Pennsylvania casino opened in Erie nearly all of the Erie and other Western Pennsylvania players stopped coming to the casino also they lost players to Seneca Niagara but that was close to ten years earlier.http://www.senecagames.com/senecapoker-salamanca.html

Did anybody notice that Seneca Niagara has raped the bad beat jackpot pool with the money being diverted to the promo days. I noticed that the bad beat doesn't grow like it used and is getting hit at very low numbers now.

I think it's probably better for the games though as the bad beat could go months without hitting but high hands and seat draws are won by anybody(especially when it's slow on snow storm days).

Yes they have diverted much of the BBJ to promos. And it has made the room much much better. Brought in a ton of action back into the room and I wish they did this sooner. $300 high hands every hour and $100 hot seats on the half hours on promo days. Much better then hitting the lotto of binking a bad beat.

How many 1/2 games are normally running on the Canadian side of the border and what time of day are they normally running?

As per fallsview Casino's site :

"Please be advised that as of March 14th, 2017 our Poker Tables have been relocated to Casino Niagara. A limited number of Poker Tables are still available. Please ask a poker staff member if you have any questions."

This is terrible. I haven't been since Feb - can anyone confirm how many tables are running now? The old casino is so bad to step foot in, the poker room at fallsview was awesome.

As a visitor there, I'd have to disagree. The staff there were unorganized and outright rude at times. They wouldn't deal with overly drunk, obnoxious jerks looking to literally start a fight at a table I was sitting at because "he's here all the time."

I had excellent experiences with the dealers in the room. Their bosses were tools in nice suits.

Which is not to say CN will be any better. I just assume that "management" just clocks in there now.

Its funny i was going there on and off for about 6 years and never saw the problems other described. like many hundreds of hours. although im super easygoing and chill, i also never table change or do stupid reg ****. Never had the staff be rude to me after literally hundreds of interactions with them. And i didnt know any of them by name.

the only problem i had were the wait lists, and the weekends could get chaotic. The fishy action players were always super ******ed and great, all tables were action.

it was the best room closest to the GTA.

i mean the 5 tables left are still probably better than going to CN. it sounds like its 4-5 tables of 2/5 on the weekdays and weekends are 3-4 tables of 5/10 and maybe some 2/5?

Anyone play the first Saturday of the month $125 PLO at Seneca Niagara? Does it usually get a decent turnout?

What would be the cheapest reasonable rooms @ <3month commitment within 15 min walk of reasonable poker here?

In another thread about Seneca Niagara a player stated the rake at 1/2 and higher has gone up to 5+1 is this true? I was thinking about going out here at some point but 5+1 at 1/2 isn't really worth it for me, thanks.

That was me and I was prolly misremembering. I haven't lived in the area for a few months but it hadn't gone up as far as I know so should still be 4+1

I it's not 4 + 1 it's either 5+1 or 6+1. Haven't played it in years but was 4 back in like 2009 and went up once plus the bbj was added and I remember hearing it went up again so I believe it's 6 +1

Am I crazy or is the rake something like 4+1 but they take 3 on the flop as soon it hits $10 instead of $1 in as pot increases by $10? If so I'd rather have $5+$1 with regular $1 at $10 increments.

So is the Niagara 12 an hour plus blinds and bad beat chip a better deal rake wise ? Thanks!

You guys must be spoiled where you usually play, a $7 rake seems pretty normal for me. In fact, many games are even worse...
