I assume you're going to be taking I-93 through NH. The only room that's directly on the way is a charity room at Rockingham Park in Salem NH. It's right off exit 1 of I-93 just before you enter MA.

Boston City Council voted today on whether the community vote on the proposed Suffolk Downs casino would be city-wide or East Boston only. In a 10-3 vote, the decision was made that the vote would be East Boston only. The vote will take place on November 5th.

Yesterday was the primaries for the new mayor for the city of Boston. The casino and how it was going to be voted on was a major issue for the candidates. That why there was so much press leading up to yesterday.

The candidate against the whole casino project in the city, who was arguing for a city wide vote got about 3%.

Where is this magical game that starts at 5pm???? All the games i go to are lucky to have cards in the air by 11. So many times I feel like i'm just proping, hoping the degens will decide to play, but ultimately leaving at midnight never getting past 5 handed. As a person with a day job, finding good games that run at reasonable hours is near impossible.

FWIW I saw a buddy yesterday who works for one of the towns in close proximity to E.Boston/Everett and he said it looks like Suffolk is going to end up losing to the Everett deal.

He is probably the only person saying that right now. He may be hearing that his town is closer or more likely to agree to a surrounding communities agreement, but no way he can tell who get's it at this point. If Suffolk passes on the ballot, then it's up to the MGC, which the towns have no way of knowing what will come of their process.

Well that's a shock. I guess it does look like Wynn will probably win afterall, too bad. Suffolk has a better location IMO so i'm still pulling from them but this will probably hurt them when it comes to the election.
