Personally I like the tables being in the wide open room and don't mind the music at all. However, I talked to a few dealers and BB is planning on expanding the poker room to be its own seperate room, away from the noise pool tables. So for those of you that noise was an issue, it won't be in the near (?) future
I visited BB for the first time on Friday. Couple of my buddies wanted to play $4 BJ and I figured why not try out the poker. Sat down at $1/$2 while waiting for the $2/$4 to open up. Players were actually solid at my 1/2. Moved to the 2/4 and one guy had $2500k in black chips and over $500 in green chips. I have no idea how he accumulated those chips, especially the black $100s, because who buys in with the $100s? The 2/4 was less crazy than I am normally used to. I had a guy bet into my flopped full house on every street gave me his entire stack. Left after 1 hour of being there, because my friends were bored with $4 BJ (you don't say). Made $650.00.
PROS: Tables, Staff, CHIPS!!, Cards (about as good as you will get around here. Still big face, which I hate, but they are bridge size (narrow) cards, which I love.
CONS: It is quite loud, but it wasn't too bad. My first dealer was awful, but the others were just fine, so I guess the jury is out on the dealers, for now.
I also heard that they are planning on expanding to the other side of the building, which is apparently 10,000 square feet.
I typically play at Hampton Falls, which I like, but if BB starts getting more traffic I will probably switch there, because I hate the chips and cards at HF. They really are just awful.
