Yea, but how can you deal with the fact that you're playing with the droolers on the EPT or spending hours in the s-hole that is Rockingham? I'd need to be plenty blazed to stand doing either.

SALEM, N.H. — Despite a longstanding history of charitable gaming and horse racing, Rockingham Park will close its doors for good on Aug. 31.

Sorry to hear that. I have fond memories of going to the races "where it all began" and occasionally hitting the poker room.

That is amazing. FWIW, dealer at the Rock said that the players at Hampton Falls are not playing to hit the BBJ.

I can't believe no mechanic has gotten himself hired yet and cold-decked the bbj to a partner.

I have zero faith in NH "surveillance" or the state Racing Commission which oversees those games.

Every time I check Poker Atlas lately, I notice very few games going at The Rock. Have people already stopped going since it is closing soon?

Puckster, any news on the new place your group is talking about building?

I noticed the same thing. According to PA, Hampton Falls is usually a little busier, but not that much.

I haven't played much lately, but it was nice to have 10-20 tables running all the time. Sad to see that dump go. It's gonna be a long wait until Wynn.

If you were to guess, when do you expect this place will open?

Really excited about the thought of a brand-new local place to play.

Yeah, I noticed Hampton Falls a little busier as well. Seems like a decent amount of people may have just quit going.

I don't play much at The Rock anymore either. Between the games not as fishy as they were when it opened to knowing it's closing soon, it's not as fun as it used to be.

As ****ty as that place was, I'm still going to miss it too. I'll never forget the excitement and the insane action of the first few months of NL cash games.

We really want to get open mid September........ All reliant on permitting process with town. I'm a real estate developer, permitting expert for 33 years and understand the process.

Permitting is dealing with nit like players.... Process in Salem is SUPER nitty... and with permits in every tiwn and city, there statutory requirements that need to be completed.

Range is Sept 15 to Oct 15

Just so I'm clear, you are talking about September or October of this year? If so, wow, that will be here before we know it.

Is the plan to have just poker, or will there be any table games too?

Will this also be a charity room?

@ a 2/4 table at Hampton falls someone was talking about a room that's opening in Salem soon. The guy said the people involved were just waiting on permits. Anyway, the guy said the room was going to be inside a restaurant. Was he talking about your room? If so did he mean it in the sense of the building used to be a restaurant, or that the room will be connected to an active restaurant? Hopefully it's the latter, a few rooms in California are connected to decent restaurants and it's a nice
Perk.

Ever eat at the Rock? I never have but I've been told the food is borderline edible. Can't say that really surprised me tho

That, sir, would be a gross overestimate of the eatability of the food there.

Not in restaurant .... In fact, our room will not have fried food or junk food. Going to be fresh made healthy food, nutritionist on staff and site building diets for our players with associated food for diet made and served at our fiord service on site to implement and keep people on diet plan...
