Honestly the worst thing is the chairs. You have to sit in them for a long time and they aren't the chairs at foxwoods, that's for sure. Yeah the building is old, but you can deal with it. The best thing is to hit up the mall before you go. Eat something, walk around for a bit, take a piss and go play some cards.

I was there from like 330-9last night. 4 NL 2/4 tables. Great action early, but then it kind of tightened up except for one table with one massive dumper.

The best way I could describe the Rock is it would be like playing poker in a subway station, on the actual train platform. The bathrooms are spot on for bathrooms in a subway station as well, actually the subway station bathrooms may be a bit nicer.... Oh and the customers are the exact dirty, sketchy, seedy, weirdo's that you'd commonly see standing on a subway platform waiting for the next train. So I'd say all in all its exactly what it would be like if the "MBTA" installed poker tables at their stations

Is it worth it to go on a Monday afternoon? I might be bored enough to find out.

Place is the nuts. Anyone know if they got the new chips yet?

No, as of yesterday they were still using the old chips. The new chips are supposed to be used in the next week or so.

How many poker rooms are there in NH right now? And is the closest one to Vermont still Keene?

It baffles me how there wasn't/isn't one in Lebanon or Hanover, to capture some of the Vermont market plus the Dartmouth college crowd. Maybe soon, if the NL experiment goes well?

I would scroll back a bit. Someone posted all the rooms not too long ago.

I didn't recall seeing anything, and just now paged back to May and didn't notice an actual list.

http://www.pokeratlas.com/poker-room...ut-new-england look at that for poker rooms. I think I counted a few other smaller rooms that were not on that list.

You aren't losing you're mind. The list was in the Legislation forum thread and not this one.

THAT is where I saw it. Thanks!

FYI I updated the OP with a list of all legal poker rooms in New England. I'll update it as needed.

Just read the list in the OP. Isn't there a room at Hampton Beach (separate from Hampton Falls)?

Any attempt at running PLO at the Rock yet?

I played at Rockingham last night for the first time. Still using the old chips which becomes confusing in some spots. I got there at 6:30 and I believe there were 5 2/4 and 11 1/2 tables going. When I left at 10:30 it was down to 3 2/4 tables and 9 1/2 tables I believe. Play was all around pretty bad at 1/2, looked a little better at 2/4 with more lag/tag players. from what I saw both 2/4 and 1/2 games probably looked softer on average than what you would typically find at FW/MS.

It isn't the nicest place to play and you will probably want to take a shower and wash your clothes when you get home, but it wasn't horrible. I will probably head over again Friday or Saturday. What a weird feeling it is to have a live game 15/20 minutes away. Very tempting to start playing regularly.

Someone should start asking about PLO at the rock when they are there.

If someone could give a shout out when Rockingham gets their new chips, that'd be great. The $4 chips just mess with my head too much. I know they keep saying "next week" but that could easily mean 3 months.

They'll get new chips when Goodell rules on Brady's appeal.

I'm predicting that Goodell issues his ruling late this afternoon. Friday afternoon is News Dump Day, or as they say on The West Wing, "Take Out The Trash Day".

Has anyone played No-Limit Ring Games at the River Card Room in Milford, NH?

I used to play tourneys there quite a bit but switched to cash games at Foxwoods years ago.

That room is a bit closer to me than Rockingham so if they have a few tables going, I'll start playing there. But if it's one table, no list, and nut camping nits I'll just drive to the Rock

Do we need a new poll asking if Wynn/Everett will ever actually be built ? It seems there are new objections and potential delays every week. What's the earliest opening date of late ?
