Heading out in a few weeks to test the card rooms in Manila. Can I please get some input from some local players on the where to plays and who I will find playing?

Any update on the games being played on normal nights. I might head out for the APT in Feb, but what limits/# tables get spread on normal weekends?

metro card club has some nice really low stakes games like 10/20, 20/40 and 25/50. great action. other than that you can find bigger games at resorts world and in that area of town.

I've only played 3 sessions so far so my infos are limited but I'm probably gonna update this in the future. Solaire's regular game is 100/200 and 100/200/500, and sometimes even higher. COD (run by pokerstars) has smaller stakes like 25/50 up to 100/200 sometimes. They both sometimes have 4-5 people on the waiting list so having to wait 30-60 min can happen regularly. Rake is 10% cap 500 for 100-200. They would still rake 100 if the pot is less than 1000. Expect to find 2-3-4 regs in a full ring. They also play plo but I don't know much about that. There's like 2 or 3 other cardrooms in the vecinity of Solaire and COD so that's good for game selection given how bad the traffic is, but anyways do some research in terms of where you want to stay because there's like 2 different worlds here.

What are the other 2 or 3 rooms? I am sometimes there over the weekend, but I am not aware of other rooms in that area. I mean there's Resorts World but that's like 30min away in the traffic of Manila. Also lets all in, but both do really just run microstakes (highest game 50 100 or even less)

Yep the 100 200 is the highest regular game, although that just runs like 8h a day, sometimes it is 1 2 5, but usually someone would object to that. The regs are not that good but usually regs and recs are pretty nitty.

The 500 1k that sometimes runs is quite a different game, the min buyin is 300k.

The AC at CoD is terrible, very -lifeEV with all that second hand smoke.
