everyhand at the bike seems like a TV hand

seen pocket kings vs pocket aces way too many times in such a short period of time at many different tables

at commerce that only happens once in a while

I think they set up the decks at the bike. I, too, have seen way more coolers there than anywhere else

bike is definitely rigged too much unlikely hands and improbable events

just from the few hours i was there 1 day and at all levels too has to be more than a coincidence

it seems like a jackpot would be bound to happen when theres pocket queens pocket kings pocket jacks and pocket aces in the same hand

i dont buy it there something shady is def goin on the game is soft though

*Sigh*

So tell me, how does the rigging work at Bike? Is it done by the shufflemasters or do the dealers cut the decks wrong?

Seriously, (1) the cards are random, and (2) weird things will happen if you play enough poker.

Pretty sure the shuffling machines are tamper proof and controlled by the California Gaming Commission.

Yeah, actually, I trust a shufflemaster (or an online RNG) more than I do a human shuffler. But lots of donks disagree.

fazzers- am thinking that UCDLaCross is being tongue-in-cheek. He's too serious a poster to actually post something so dumb, and mean it.

I copied the following from the Commerce thread because it is turning out to be more about LA.

Quote:
Where is a good casino to play 2/5 NLH in California?

"BravoPokerLive is free Android app which states all the running poker games. Unfortunately, not all casinos participate and the app is not user friendly.

There are plenty of choices in the Bay, San Diego, and LA areas. The following advice is solely based on playing in the LA area.

From downtown LA within a 2 hour perimeter there is at least 10 casinos which spread NLH at 2/5, within 30 minutes of Downtown LA your options will be mainly 5 casinos. The five casinos are Commerce, Garden, Bike, Hustler, and Hollywood Park.

Any of the above casinos pretty much run 2/5 all day except some weekday mornings. The most poker tables will probably be at Commerce. The best buy in structure is by far Bike. The nicest casino is Hustler. The most degens at Garden and Hollywood. The most action and fish can only be answered by playing yourself."

IMHO

Not sure if this a level or you work there but lets assume your posting is legit.

First, I have no problems with The Garden. In fact I have played there often since it is actually the closest casino to my house. The promotions offered such as the daily cash drawings and super jackpots(not sure if currently running) are the best in LA. There is always action and plenty of tables to table select at all times.

However, lets visit some of the bad. First the building structure(literally a big tent) does not make me feel like I am in a casino but rather some underground game. The games it offers such as $1/$1 NLH with a $20 buy in does not bring out the best people in the neighberhood. On two seperate occasions prople who I dont know have asked me for money. It is not surprising to see the same shady people walking around the casino not looking for a game but rather get staked. This is not the case in all casinos. The buy in structures are horrendous(most in LA are but not always the case). The food honestly is mediocre(depends on personal taste) but other casinos comp it and others put a dollar on your account every hour for food.

So overall the Garden does have more degens than say Hustler, Commerce, and Bike. IMO

Im currently in Afghanistan before that I was playing poker for a living in Vegas for two years, im now moving to LA for a year, i have taken a couple of small trips to the commerce and bike... My question is where are the top 5 or so areas you would reccomend living in balancing single life/ nice area/ beach possibly, and distance to the casinos probably in that order...

So dynasty recently just did his quarterly roundup of Vegas games going, now i know no one will be doing that in LA but since ill be moving there upon return from the 'Stan i was wondering can anyone approximate how many 2-5, and 5-10 games are going on weekend nights at

Commerce

Hawaiin Gardens
Hollywood Park
Hustler

You can always use the Bravo Poker Live app/site for Commerce. I'll take a shot at these though I'm pretty much guessing:

Commerce
2/5 - 6-15
5/10 - 2-8

Bike
2/5 - 5-9
5/10 - 1-3

HG- Never been

Hollywood Park
2/5 - 2-4
5/10 - 1-3

Hustler haven't been in a while but
2/5 - 2-4
5/10 - 1-2

I'm most confident in my HP numbers, the others should be in the ballpark.

Commerce, Bike and HP have separate buy-in structures for some 2/5 and/or 5/10 games, so there might be 6 2/5 200 max and 2 5/5 500-1500 games for instance.

Your numbers are way too high in estimating for the 5/10s.
Also In most places in LA the games are either 3/5 or 5/5.

Hollywood Park
3/5 - 3
5/5 - 3 to 4
5/10 - 1 or 2

Hustler
3/5 - 2 or 3
5/5 - 2 or 3
5/10 - usually 0. 1 when they get busy. It usually doesn't last that long.

Commerce
3/5 - 5 or 6
5/10 - 8 to 10 if you count both the 400 and 500 games.

Hawaiian Gardens
3/5 - 5 to 7
5/10 - 2 or 3.

Oh and the Bike. Right now probably a lot busier due to Legends.

3/5 - 5
5/5 - 3 or 4
5/10 - 1
