I remember that shirt! Or rather, I remember thinking 'That dude must be even braver than me wearing that..."

It was a weird table, there were two very decent players there, one tight-but-solid player and a constant turnover of fish - but the fish were all playing bizarrely tight. I was sat directly to the right of one the very decent players so I was more than happy with my seat. Especially as he was a really nice guy and we were having a good chat.

I'll give you a shout next time I'm heading down, I'm almost always in some kind of hat, usually a panama, so come say hi anytime you see me and I'll buy you a Cranberry juice.

Fox cash game info has now been posted, looks good, however with the changes to cash games at the International coming into effect from the 1st August, The International are really pulling out all the stops to be the premiere poker destination in London. Not in town until mid august but looking forward to having a session at both to compare. Ususally play 1/1 at the Int but very much looking forward to playing the 50p-50p game which starts next week.

I hope to read some feedback/reviews here about the Fox when it opens.

Where's the game info posted? Any rake details?

It's on their Facebook page:

Not going to be competing too hard on rake then.

Will be intersted to see if the dealers choice is pot limit for the stud games, I hear that it is at the International when it goes off and it plays super big. Would love to be able to play some fixed limet horse live. I wouldn't leave the table for days.

Oh and for anyone that doesn't know, Irish is the same as Crazy Pineapple, althou when I've played it at Duffs on the south coast, you discard the 3rd card before the flop betting, but in London I hear it is after a round of betting on the flop.

Asahi?? Not a great pint there is it?

Like Asahi generally.

Pretty sure I've paid £4.50 for a Fosters before, I don't think the Asahi's any more expensive actually, it's just not served at the bar near the poker room (and I hate using table service)

I don't know if anyone remembers the poker player that was on dragon's den last year, but iirc he was trying to sell action for some 1k - 10k events, saying that he was +EV because he'd won 100k+ in tourneys.

I played with him today in the £25 afternoon tourney at the international. I thought he might be decent until he bet flop and shoved turn with 77 on QJ5x.

Confirmed busto?

That's JJ Hazan, a friend of mine. Very nice guy, very good at business, could potentially have been +ev at live poker a while ago, to put it nicely.

He seemed like a good bloke tbh. And all the regs says he crushes the tourneys there, which I would expect

Typical bull**** merchant, who gives it the big un in the 2pm tourno at the Int loves it when he has a couple of his cronies to show off to.

Is there a list of his buyins? It doesn't mean a lot otherwise.

Not that I care if he's good or bad, I wouldn't know him from the next guy at the table.
London Quote

The link I posted has the buy ins. However, Gutshot/The International only record a cash, there are no records of all the tourneys he has played but did not cash.

The guy is a laughing stock, if a below average player played as many comps as him he would have a much better record.

Couldn't think of a better place to post this question other than start a threa, which i did and only really got one reply.

Wondering when the games run 50p/£1 at any casinos in the north. I live in wigan so bolton manchester and liverpool are my best chances I presume?

and are the games only running on weekends or mid week as well?

thanks.

I live in swinley.

Are you refering to bolton there or a casino in Skem? I didn't know there was a casino in skem tbh. I'm looking for cash rather than tournaments as well fwiw.

No theres no casinos in skem lol, well definitely thursdays and sundays at Bolton and liverpool i've never played manchester though. but before you go on my word just check there sites lol. Theres a £50 buyin tourney at bolton on a wednesday full of donks! they bust after not long and just play cash. they have 0.50/1 and 1/2.
