I know that's what happens here.

Like there's usually a 2/5 1-2x a week, and a 5-10 1x a week.
But those games go for 10 days when HPT/WSOP in town
I am registering for event #1 tonight and I will ask the poker room how popular 2/5 and 5/10 were the last time.

You are in the mirror opposite seat as I am in seat four at my table. I am someone who observes intently so my favorite seats are three and eight followed by four and seven.

Ill be there next Friday morning trying to satty into main event and giving money away in the cash games until Sunday night. First time playing in KC should be fun.

I did better than the week before, but I shouldn't have played as around 10:30, I started feeling physically weak. I got bounced shortly before the second break holding A2s against KJs. I had another bullet in my pocket, used it, and got bounced holding pocket 9s against KJs.

I felt pretty good about my play on the very last hand.

nothing like grinding and leather a$$ing for 11hrs only to run into some hillbilly from Omaha who "wants to gamble" and shoves KQ UTG yay

My plan was to limp with my pockets in hopes someone would raise, I would shove, and then get called by a worse hand. That is exactly what happened. I just didn't like the end result.

I would have liked more starting chips and shorter levels.

The thing is you have got to love the action. Just hate the result.

On my second table, I got to play with Jason Brin who recently won the main event at WPT Choctaw.

I was thinking about playing event #9, but I am going to save the money and play the deep stack tourney at Harrahs on Saturday that week.

Yeah I think I will play event #9 on Sunday. After Saturday, I have a newfound respect for people that grind live MTT's for a living. It's takes a lot out of you for sure, but is fun nonetheless.

I can't believe ten years ago I used to work a full day, get off, drive to a bar, play poker until around 1am, drive home, and get up in time to make it to work. And I did it every weekday. Plus I played Saturday and Sunday, but didn't have to work.

If you want a good structure, I'd say play Harrahs. If you want a larger field, play HPT.

Last edited by Doc T River; 08-17-2015 at 03:42 PM. Reason: I vote for the good structure.

Do you think Harrahs turnout will be much with all the HPT stuff going on at Ameristar? How far is it from Ameristar? 10 miles?

Only the main event will be going on Saturday at Ameristar so Harrahs should be back to normal I would think. I wonder how many runners Harrahs will get saturday?
