4th in champs chair for £310, was chip leader with the 4 left but lost 2 flips then J7 < QJ bvb when I shoved for 6 bigs. Good run for Try2Win_ for 6th (I think?) who I ended up knocking out bvb with a std jam and call for about 7 bigs with A4 and QTs, flop AA4

Think I was the most hated man in the room when I refused a saver with 11 left on the bubble

Hello everybody! I could not find a place to post such thread so I decided to post it overhere coz i am still newbie. This year I came to UK to study and i heard that casinos are form age 18. SO its good for me. For today I play NL25 cash games. But in the future i would like to try a live cash game in a casino as well. Is overhere any local residents of Glasgow , who can give me an advice which casino to choose? WHat are the minimum buy-ins overthere and is there anything specific I need to know about poker in a casino?

P.S I am living in the city centre near buchanon galleries. Are there any casinos in the city centre?

Your help is much apprecated people. Thank You.

I don't play in Glasgow very much at all as I tend to play in Edinburgh now but from my experience it's only £1/£2 that seems to run.

If you're looking to play a live cash game in a casino and not risk too much (definately a good idea if it's your first time playing live properly) then this casino offers 25p/50p tables. I have no idea how often this runs though:

The Alea is pretty good for cash and tournaments with cash games running most nights. I haven't played in the Gala Merchant City much either though I played one tournament there and it has been renovated and doesn't look a complete dump anymore!

If you're able to travel I really do recommend the Genting Club Fountainpark in Edinburgh - it has 50/50p cash games running every night and is probably the best run cardroom in Scotland.

Thinkin of playing first live tourney on Monday at MC. Can anyone give me some more info before I go e.g. how long the blind levels are, how many players, likely finishing time. Also any advice would be welcome

Thanks in advance.

Going to be in both glasgow and edinburgh for a couple of days..

If I wanted to play cash, preferably with a dealer, where would the most likely spot in each city be ?

Also looking for the info in the liverpool/manchester area if you have any suggestions!

Genting Fountainpark in Edinburgh is the best spot for cash games with 50p/50p and £1/£2 running pretty much daily. £2/£5 runs a lot as well sometimes even £5/£10.

I don't really know about Glasgow tbh - probably the Alea but I don't really play cash often enough in Glasgow to give any tips about it.

The Alea is ok, the best dealers imo are at the Riverboat (Gala) casino. The merchant city also a Gala is not bad too. There is a place on Bridge Street called The Cincinatti club, there is alottt of money in there games and alot of big gamblers, you'll see some footballers in there quite regularly blowing thousands.

Bump.

I live just outside Glasgow. What Casino in Glasgow is the best for £200nl? In terms of how often they run and game quality as well?

Also, just out of interest, are there any casinos that are running bigger games? like 2knl or even 500nl?
