"High limit Saturday" at 500 Club tomorrow. Last month action was really good. They're planning a 30/60 LHE and 5/10 NLHE starting at 2pm. Might want to call ahead just to check. No guarantees they run.

5/10 @ 500 Club hasn't been running much lately. 2/5 has been good though. Tonight there was like $25k on the table.

gonna be there on thursday and friday, wanna stop in.

how many tables do each usually run of 1/3? whats average buy in you usually see in that game?

late edit:

I usually play 1/2 and 1/3 and buy in for $200. are these the only two options to find a game that will suit me? Just started reading about table mountain and looks like they have poker too.

Fresno doesnt really run any 1-2 Nl games at least from what ive seen. 1/3 usually has one to two tables running in the evening at 500. Havnt been to club one in a while but expect more of the same.

Yep 1-3 and club one is going to usually have 1-2 games going, also has a 1-1 game with max 40 buy in, which I've never played but it usually will run as well.

Usually a prop player or 2 at the table depending how many tables there are and time of day. Most just play pretty tight ABC poker. I usually just stay out of there way if they are raising.

can i ask they be identified?

do they have any special rules that govern them? Or are they just basically normal players who get paid by the house? I think i remember hearing something about them not being able to check-raise and other stuff...but not sure how accurate that is.

Only the second time I'm playing in a california cardroom! just glad it doesn't seem to have funky structures and/or buy-ins at my level like i remember commerce having.

They wear badges/id tags so they are easy identifiable if it's first time playing there.

500 1/3 is 400 max buy-in or you can match the biggest stack. Club One is 500 max. Min is low, probably 40 or something at each (maybe a little higher idk). But 200 stack is standard, you'll fit right in.

Props at 500 wear a badge and play nitty for the most part. Only one or two of them are any good. Nothing to fear. If the games are slow there could be several of them at your table (I've played with up to 4-5 at once) but if there is a board there won't be any in your game, they have to get up.

Not sure how Club One does it, but there is a NL host who is often in the game and he's a decent player. Also lots of dealers and floor people play there when the games are slow, semi-props. Some are decent.

500 had some of the sickest NL action last month. There were games where ppl had $100k+ stacks. It was absurd.

They died down now but $5/10 is still going off with some frequency. You kinda need to get texts from people to know when to go though. Games are spontaneous (whenever the right people want to play haha...)

Haven't played a lot of 500 since I'm coming from visalia and clubs one is closer but might have to go check it out, been playing some 2-5 at club one and lots of laggy dudes who spew a lot, wonder if 500 is the same.

Depends on the lineup but ya, same deal. At 2/5 you'll actually see a lot of the same faces no matter which one you're at.

Good games lately. 2/5 going off pretty regular at 500 in the evenings. 5/10 some afternoons (kinda have to be in the text group to know what they get a game). 20/40 three days a week as always. 8/16 at Club One Saturdays and some other days, talk to the Host. Then the usual 1/3 and 4/8 both places.

Valentines Day tourney coming up at 500. I guess you play with a partner. Some weird structure. One of you plays for a half hour and the other one gets up.

heads up tournament coming after that. I think in March. That'll be fun. Everybody is playing it. Think its like $350 buy-in or something. Supposed to be a good structure.

Anyone here still play at 500?
I'm passing through Fresno this week and was hoping 500 still had decent action.
Update?

I don't remember their schedule but they usually have a 4-8 O8 going, and 1-2 each of 1-3 NL and 4-8 limit Kill. There is often a 20-40 limit, a 5-5 PLO, and a 2-5 NL running, but they aren't always going. Try the website to see if they have it listed there.

I played at 500 this week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights.
Apparently they changed the 2/5 game to 2/5 with a rock (mandatory straddle for the player who won the previous hand). This game ran on tuesday only. I heard it also runs on friday.
The other days there was 1, maybe 2 tables of $1/3. The action wasn't great, and the table always had a few props in the game.
Rake is still huge, $5 rake for every flop + $1 BBJ drop for every hand dealt. You get 1 player limping into the pot sb folds and bb checks, and after the rake and drop, then pot is only $1! RIDICULOUS!

My other observations:
- The night shift floorman named Doug made a horrible ruling and appears incompetent. He allowed two players to discuss their hand (1 player even mucked face up when there was action behind him) and influence action in a multiway all-in pot. Doug say "it happens all the time" and told the players who were complaining about his ruling to "move on."

- the casino got cheap! This is the first casino I've ever heard of to charge $1 per bottle of water for players. Also, I last played here in 2014, and they had a player's menu for food and all items were $1 or $2. Good deal. However, fast forward to now, the food items on the player's menu are $6+. So basically they don't reward players here at all.

This was really the only convenient option for me as I was staying in Clovis for the week.

They did have a $5/5/10 PLO game ($1k - $5k buy in) going in the back room. Lots of action there, but above my bankroll so I can't comment on how the game played.

Justin, did 500 Club have any Limit games? I'm there in a couple of weeks for work with a lot of time to kill.

I also had a lot of time to kill and unfortunately the games were very limited in the day. Most days they didn't even get $1/3 NL going until around 3pm.
There's usually one table of $4/8 limit O8. You can call the Club 500 at any time and they will tell you what games are running and what the interest lists look like.

You can also check out Club One. I heard the action is very similar. I never went there because 500 Club was so much closer to my hotel.
