Anybody else in The No on 2+2?

I just got to Fresno, staying got a few days.

What's the best card room here? Club One?

I prefer 500, so I don't have to go downtown (super ghetto etc) and because the parking sucks at Club One, but it's a good room once you go inside. They both have 1/3 and 4/8 running most of the time. If you want 2/5 you need to go to 500 (runs most nights). I'd check them both out, see which you prefer.

500 club was my 1st stop. I didn't need to look any farther. Comfortable room in a shopping plaza, so I felt safe.
$1/3 NL going most of the time with $2/5 occasionally at night. Decent action with prop players filling in the empty seats.
They have a casino menu with every item on the menu only costing $1. Great deal and they do this instead of earning comps on a players card.
I saw $20/40 limit going on in the back and a short lived $150/300 limit game going one night.

That was half $150/300 LHE half $25/25 NLHE. First time I've ever seen that run but they do have a $100/200 LHE with some regularity (maybe once or twice a week)

I'd be interested in hearing from somebody who prefers Club One on why they do. I honestly can't think of anything better over there, unless you happen to live closer to it. Actually I guess the players cards are cool, I wish 500 had those. But that's about it.

Was thinking of going to play the Fresno Poker open next weekend. Outside of tournaments, I was looking to play 20-40 lhe or above....is that only at Club 500 or does Club One have a regular game?

Only at 500 Club. 8/16 is the biggest I've ever seen at Club One. 500 runs 20/40 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday plus the occasional Saturday. They are also running 40/80 the second Saturday of the month starting tomorrow and through the summer. It's part of some promotion, you can read about it on their website. There is also a regular 100/200 but it's never scheduled and hard to predict when it will run.

I prefer club one because 500 club doesn't have a comp card system.

There was a 2/5 game with 25-28k on the table the other day @ club 500.. Didn't know fresno got games like this..

I was in that. Wild game. That's not the norm but it does happen. I'd say once a month the 2/5 at 500 plays super deep and loose like that. Just takes the right mix of players.

500 and Club One both have a 1/3 going pretty much always. Club One runs a $1/1 $40 max as well. Not sure how often though, I've never played it. Seems like it would just be a huge rake trap.

500 had a $5/10 going tonight. Actually going on right now!

I absolutely hate tourneys but I was reading on their facebook page that the Labor Day tourney had like 300 entries last year, cant pass that up. Just gotta hope for some run good i guess.

Thats nuts man. Ya 1/1 is a joke, only way I can imagine making any money is playing ridiculously nit and shoving / squeezing. Only way the 1/1 game might get good is if people are rebuying a lot since its only $40 and you get 4-5 $100+ stacks on the table.

I've played the 1/3 @ 500 club but it plays a lot bigger than the 1/2 games I'm used to just cause the stacks can get pretty big. So I've gotta adjust to raises preflop from $8 to the $15+ raises I c at 500. That or a nice bump in my bankroll (cmon Labor Day tourney).

Quick question for anyone that's been to club one casino... Might b the dumbest question ever but does club one have craps tables? I didn't see any mention of them on their website and that seemed a bit odd..

No craps at either cardroom. Just tables games. I believe craps isn't legally allowed. You might check with one of the indian casinos. I know they have slots.

yeah nevada and nj are the only states that allow dice games.... cali has similar games but uses cards instead of dice.... really stupid i know lol

HPT main event starts tomorrow at Club One. $1650 buy-in. Last satellite is at like noon and tourney starts at 4:15 I think. Three day 1's - 2 on Saturday, then day 2 on Sunday final table Monday. You can re-enter.

How are 2/5-5/10 NLHE games in Fresno? Anything worth playing early in the week? Perhaps with HPT coming thru?

5/10 runs only rarely but actually has been going at 500 Club with some regularity lately. Game usually forms around a few known live ones so that game is generally good when it's going.

2/5 is usually a good game. Sometimes better than others. It runs on the weekends at Club One and a few nights a week or more at 500 Club. Fridays always.

There was a great 5/10 at 500 Club last night. Full table and a bunch of names on the list. Then converted to a 10/20!
