Are you sure that they are playing 1/3 there? I dont think so, I think its 1/2 50 or 100 to 300.
Mark (pillsberry?) runs the room now? I was there maybe 2 weeks ago, didn't see him there.
No a different guy, he doesn't post on 2+2. I was actually playing 2 5 at mgm tonight (plus 600 if i may brag).

I just like playing in different rooms if the action is good, plus it's always plus ev in my book if you are an unkown.

And I think you're right it's 300 max 1/2

Northville? Yes. As far as I know, they are alive and well.
If you are looking to play several tourneys in a day, then head down to the Electric Stick.
Northville is just north of M14, 1 exit away from 275. Electric Stick is about 15 minutes south from there. IDK where you are from, but take a look at it on the UMichigan poker site. They have tourneys at 1p, 4p, and 7p. Cash starts around 8.

Mini Snookers TR:
On my way in from parking lot, notice that there are about 50+ lottery tickets (Big Game, Lotto, etc., not scratch offs) littered on the pavement. Young guy with glasses is picking them up. I ask, "did you drop these?" He says, "no, but I'm going to check them all." gl

Get seated right away. Notice a guy to my right with a tourney ticket. I ask, "when does the tournament start?" He says, "right now." He proceeds to multi-table MTT and cash game for the next 45 minutes. He busted in level 2. Oh, how I've missed my poker room brethren.

Not much to report on the cards other than the action is still juicy! Saw young guy complain about a player min-raising him on the flop with OESD and hitting it on the turn (which gave young guy a set) because "old guys don't make those kinds of plays!" BTW, older guy ended up almost $300 and left the table shortly there after. Thanks for tapping the glass!

Older gentleman on my left told me he used to be a dealer in California years ago before he got an offer to go work with the Mafia in Arizona. I ask, "did you turn it down?" He says, "No way! It was good money! I was making $50/hour." Later, I started to think, wait a minute, how do you stop working for the mafia? I stayed out of his way.

Busted out on a hand against multi-table "expert" (MTE) on my right. He was complaining about getting hero called to lose big pots. According to the table, some of the hero calls were more heroic than the others, as in, not really hero calls. Anyway, I have been card dead for about an hour, player to my right has been pretty active, he limps in. I raise to $11 with pocket fives. Get one caller two to my left and MTE thinks, looks at me, and calls.

Flop is 8-7-2 rainbow. Gets checked to me, I have about $100 left. I make up my plan that this is a pretty good flop to double barrel. I bet $25. Late position folds, MTE thinks a bit, then calls. Turn is a king, MTE checks, and I go all-in as planned for my remaining $75. Snap call by MTE, and I'm like darn, did he hit that king? No, he had T-9 offsuit. So I guess I should be loving this snap call (fish?) until the ten hits on the river. "You got me covered, right? Good luck, everyone." Didn't have time to keep playing, but there were literally 7 soft spots at that table. Lady poker, you are such a cruel mistress!

Cliff Notes: Enjoyed my return to the tables.

All of this happened in the D. Just keep reading.
It all started back in early 2002. I just got a new job. We’ll call this job upper management. I don’t wish to delve into it further than that. It was at this time that I was able to get a look at some books. It was great. I started to formulate a plan with my fathers help.
Around September 2002, I threw a party at my residence. It was a wild shin dig. I had a ball. My wife was not that happy with me. She hit someone in the face with a show, or some ridiculous accusations. By the way, I didn’t pay a dime to through this party. It was pretty awesome. The company I work for paid for everything.
I wasn’t able to play very much poker at this time, as I was very very busy taking over some new accounts and making them my own. This is just the beginning.
Let us fast forward to April 2003. You remember that crazy bitch that my wife hit with a shoe? Well, she started to shoot her mouth off. I was not a fan. Sometime that month, she disappeared. I was spotted near the Detroit River in late April. I still think that it was a cutout, as water scares me.
Luckily, under advice from my lawyer, and other confidentiality agreements, I will not and can not continue. If you are interested in the rest of my story, well, its public record. I miss my old job.

Dude. Whatever.

I'm going to have to sit out from this thread for a while. Hopefully the Signal to Noise Ratio will improve.

So, anyone have any reports from the action last night? I'm going to try to play the PLO8/NLHE level by level at Four Aces on Sunday, but I'm out of the action until then.
