if you take the freeways you'll be able to get downtown pretty quickly. call ahead for a seat, and they'll reserve your spot on the wait list for an hour. you'll have to check in in person within that time, and, depending on what you're waiting for (put yourself on every list you'd remotely like to play on*), you won't have to wait long if you time it right.
P.S. they give you an 'unofficial' 15 minute grace period on fri/sat nights.
P.P.S. (313) 237-6735 is the direct line to the motor city poker room.
*they've got a buncha spewy 1/2, if any 2/5 is running in detroit there's probably a table of it running at motor city too. they spread 5/10 and 10/20 sporadically, but always on fri/sat nights.
