Is The River even opened this early? That's the other thing. Most other rooms don't even open before 4 and most cash games don't even start until after 8 some times. Sunnybrook now, I guess.

Will be interesting to see how this changes over the next week. I can see certain regs organizing start times at different rooms and becoming "bosses" by bringing other regs there.

That's not the point. The person that applies for the license has all the rules sent to them every time they get a license. If they don't read the rules, fail to follow them and fail to train their volunteers, they should be held accountable as well. There are hundreds of charities on various wait list for different rooms that would love to get spots.

If they start blocking charities from getting a license for the following year and word gets out to the other charities that the state will do that, they would think twice about not reading the rules and following them.

Ignorance of the law is not a valid defense.

They have a 1pm tourney so I think they are open by noon.

It's in the best interest of the room to follow the rules than the charities. It's the rooms integrity that's at stake. Nobody knows what charity they are donating to when they are playing.

River cancelled their afternoon tourney because they are trying to make space for cash games without selling out. They also dropped to 3 blackjack tables, and went 21 and up only.

Hi Jake, welcome to 2+2.

Please read the forum guidelines in the stickies at the top. I specifically want to bring to your attention to rule #6:

(6) Card room employees. Card room employees must become authorized representatives before posting information on their place of employment. Please contact Two Plus Two Advertising for more information.

As a dealer, we allow you to only post about 2 things regarding your room - Rulings and Procedures. If anyone asks about a specific rule in your room, you're allowed to answer. Beyond that, you're not allowed to talk about your room at all - including soliciting promotions or events, or even your personal opinion on matters concerning the room.

Oh hey Jake. Thanks for the heads up and stuff. They don't let people shill in the forums though, so keep it cool so you don't get banned. Feel free to answer questions informally as someone who works there, but don't make any announcements or promote the room, alright? Welcome to the thread.

Just got a text from Snookers stating that due to license issues they will be closed. No indication of how long closed. Sad day
