Speaking of PLO8, I just heard from someone at my table at GTC that there are two tables running at Sunnybrook right now. Anyone there that can confirm?

Does the 3/6 qualify for the jackpot?!?

On Friday night MGM was at $155k, and the room wasn't full.

Your free to play 3/6 limit as well, just remember to read the warning label at the tables.

"3/6 has been known to take years off players lives and rakerape bankrolls"

Just over heard this conversation outside the poker room. Three guys are smoking. One asks the second guy, what do you do for a living. The third guy chimes in, totally serious, "he's a stripper part time and he does hair." I'm waiting for the second guy to laugh or deny it. Nothing. First guy: I'm sorry. Awkward silence.

Someone remind me next time not to rep a set when the other guy has top set. When he's the only one that has me covered. Plz ty.

I'm hoping to learn that lesson after the next time I do it. Last time was 999,999,999

Why would you try to rep anything against yards that don't even attempt to hand read

What is the pampa game? Straight plo8? Any idea how often it runs?

Not that I have any insights to the PLO8 game, but I know I don't like to start a phone relationship with randoms.
Wouldn't really consider myself a "random", but there also is a PM function on this site, not sure if anyone ever mentioned that to you.

It is PLO8 only. It died out, and they're trying to get it to run at Sunnybrook. Sounds like Wednesdays and Fridays.

So after painstaking long hours of website building and lots of help from Omaha8A2, we have the first release of the spreadsheet for the Detroit Poker Project at http://detpokerz.com/ under project.

It is currently missing a lot of data and it is 'just a spreadsheet' so we cannot do much with it in terms of sorting or searching. Now that the base site is done, I can start building the database which will give us that ability.

Follow @detpokerz for updates on the project!

Nice! Great work getting this thing going.
I like the look with the light text on the dark background.

As a data junky, I can tell you what I'd love to see:
1) Current BBJ for all three (4-5 w/ Toledo/Windsor?) casinos
1a) Historical BBJ data, $$ vs day, so we can see how high they are when they hit, and how quickly they grow to get there.
2) Currently running tables at each room (or last update with timestamp)
2a) Historical table data. So plot of # $1/2 tables @ snookers vs day of week, either an "average Friday", or week to week on the same day of the week (all the Thursdays on the X, # tables on Y).

I know things like that are a huge pain without a real database backend, and still annoying to set up with one ... but maybe there's a DB engineer in the thread that could do it in their sleep *crosses fingers*.

Is there a specific form you'd like to collect your data in? Tweets with a specified layout/tag? Or a submission form on the website? Anything to cut down you guys having to manually enter the data seems like it's worth it.

Wish I had the time to help you guys out with this, but that whole "graduation" thing is going to prevent it.

Not sure how I would handle this but will put it on a to-do list.

Once all the data is held in a database, this should be easy to do. I would include the 'lastupdated' tag to make sure people know if they data is current.

I know enough about databases to be dangerous. However, I come from an IT background and think I can pull most of it off. If a DBA would like to assist, I would gladly accept the help!

Before we were using #DETPokerz. However, if we use @detpokerz, I will get emails/alerts about a message and can update it rather quick.

Let me see if I can dig up my old post about the format. Ideally, I would create a quick form for entering data on the website that is easily viewed on mobile devices. If I could automate it via twitter, that would be nice as well.

DETPOKERZ PROJECT NEEDS YOU!

We have a couple people that'll help with updating the spread sheet. However, here is what I need from everyone in this thread:

Tweet what is happening at the places you play!

Use the following format:

Tournaments - @DETPokerz <location> <Touney-fee> <tables-runners> <first place>

(Example: @DETPokerz Snookers Tourey-30-7p R130 $950) - This is a $30 tourney at snookers in Utica at 7pm with 130 runners and $950 for first place

Cash games - @DETPokerz <location> <stakes-Tables> <stakes-Tables>

(Example: @DETPokerz GT 1/2-T3 2/5-T1 L3/6-T1) - This would be Greektown has 3 NL games at 1/2, 1 NL at 2/5 and 1 Limit at 3/6

Anything close to that would be great. We can watch the #DETPokerz hash tag and update the spread sheet. It'll take some time to get some data in the sheet but if everyone to take a min when you walk into a poker room to toss out a tweet (or post on here if you don't have twitter) we can get this thing going pretty quick.
