The AQ Tournament:
Honestly, I kind of run like **** with AQ and have become not a very big fan of the hand, but I try to not let that influence my play with it. I end up getting it somewhere around 8-10 times in this tournament last week.
Very first hand: AQs < 77; UTG+1 pf I raised 3x w/3 callers, whiffed but cbet 1/2 pot w/2 callers, ends up checking to river. I might have been able to take it down had I kept barreling but I didn't feel like bluffing off my stack yet (like I had done the day before within a few orbits.)
Second hand: AQo > KK; UTG this time I raised 4x, got 3bet by button and I flat. I flop an ace, check check, blank turn, I check raise and I bet river where villain folds KK face up.
A few others:
AQo < 37s;

this was last hand before break, I had raised preflop and got a few callers. Flop is AAx with 2 clubs. I check/raise which gets flatted. Turn is a third club, check check. River is a blank and I bet into it and villain calls, turning over 37cc for the flush, sheesh.
AQo > QQ; this is after first break, I raised pf, guy 3bets, I 4bet all in and the ace hits the turn ftw.
Later I get AQ again and open 4x. Villain shoves, one caller so I opted to fold. Villain had KK and held up, I would have missed that time (was same villain as second hand AQvsKK.)
I got AQ a few other times that I raised pf with no callers. Was pretty surprising how often that hand came out this day. I end up building a good stack at the FT but inevitably bubbled, boo that. I had called a short stack all in with A9 that ended up being against J2 and fell short to an A22 flop. I tried eliminating another short stack all in when I was BB, a shove got no callers to me, I had Q3s and decided to flip for the elimination but his KQo held.
