I'd think about joining you in the 7, but i want to run good from now til then to think about messing with a tournament.

And just to clarify -- i know this was discussed above, but do i understand that all the Michigan charity tournaments discussed above have 20% of the buyin going to the house? I'm sure the players are horrible, but how bad do they have to be to give you a significant edge at that rake/structure? Any of those worth playing for $ in addition to fun?

Nope, I tend to play $1/2 during the week and $2/5 on weekends. I usually only play late nights until about 3-4am because during the day its usually nitty regs. Best time to catch the fish at the $2/5 table is after 2am on the weekends. Best time to catch fish on the $1/2 is almost 24/7
Lol

I know about Tunica and Nor Cal. I hear there are several places for that, but it is a hard sell for people to come with me...

And yes, 20% is the percentage that they charities take...

Hammond spreads a good 20 game. Supposedly there is a 20 mix game as well. I don't know for sure. I think that a 20 mix might be a tad high for me.

Anyone going to MCC tonight? I will be wearing a bright yellow sweater with a hood...to tilt the players, ya know? Lol
It was 9 until last night I dropped 1 1/2 full BI at 2/5

And lying about a heater is foolish, I left my ego at the door. And thanks for the shot...

Re: Detroit

Does anyone in this thread besides Gambit like to play Stud 8? I made a NY resolution to start a stud 8 interest list any time I go play. Just wanted to see if there were any fans of the game out there.

I'd play it just to get a game going. I enjoy it, but my erratic ADD poker learning progress has taken other directions so i may be limited in how much i'm willing to drop to y'all.

Id be down for Stud8. I have a guy who might be coming up to play tomorrow who will nit it up with you guys, hes the one that was pushing hard to play stud8 at the party. I got invited to see a comedian that night so I can't join. Trying g to push them to gave dinner at Cadas so I can sneak away and short buy flip. We'll see.

So is the 200 dollar on Saturday a trend now. I see The River is also having one this Saturday at 1. Would love to hear reports from people which who played in them. Im curious how fast these will play near the final table.

Re: Detroit

Also, what limits? 3/6? 4/8, 5/10, 6/12? I would think 4/8 would play nicely... but 5/10 sounds even more funner... okay it sounds even more fun for people that speak english.. but if we could set a limit before i drive an hour or more, thatd be great. Also, $1 ante, $2 Bring in?

If you play it mixed then the stakes need ti match up. Id be pretty pissed if I got stuck for 300 in P8 then it switches to 3-6 stud8. I think we played 5-10 buck ante 2 bring in. Id like to add a kill to the game.
