Any interest in trying to get a 1-2 PLO game going at Cadas? Not sure if Omaha is out at MCC right now but I'd like to give PLO a shot. Might be able to get it going if we can get 6 people

Do you think that tipping with chips instead of cash is good or bad for the game? Would it be better to tip and the end of a session with cash and keep all the chips in play at a table? Or does the convience of using chips out way the money comin off the tables?

Discuss

Very few people would tip if they just did it at the end of the session.

Tipping thread is that-a-way ----->

...but while I think it might be a little bit of an extra rake of sorts that siphons chips off the table, it ultimately is just part of the game. If you're worried about the chips leaving the table, you're just one small step away from being an anti-tip nit. Don't turn into "that guy".

I agree 100% with this.

Still tho... is it good or bad for the game as a whole.

Disclaimer: I am absolutely for tipping dealers. Just curious about the methods involved.

Yeah I agree with Rob, if you wait til the end then only the people that win would tip(which is probably how it should be anyway), and even a lot of them wouldn't or would forget. But I see your point, with all the money that's being taken off the table in rake, who wants to see that much more come off.

I'm pretty much giving away chips in PLO. It was my bathroom break round in the 8 game mix. I'll head up to Cadas around 730, ez money

I'm actually planning to sign up for direct deposit so that Greektown will just take a few bucks for the dealer pool out of every paycheck.

3/4 time temp job at U-M. They let me take Tuesdays off, so it's a nice balance between "unemployed degenerate" and "too overworked to find time for poker."

Got to play NLHE with Pot Odds at Cadas. Millsandrew was dealing. Pretty surreal, right? Lose $85 in 3 hands and get called to the PLO game. I had two pair!

PLO with Atarirob, Sevup, and a couple others. Pretty fun so far.

I used to play in Ann Arbor when charity dealers couldn't accept tips. I'd give each dealer $10 once a month in a dark alley, so the gaming commission wouldn't catch us in our illegal activity.

They really appreciated it. Everyone knew you could tip outside on smoke breaks, etc. but very few people did.
