Nope. Too far from me. I won't go unless they have great structured, big field tournaments.. which seems super unlikely.

Best bet is prolly to have the same structure as QoH I

Tonight's tournament is quite good too redriver, essentially $45, good structure (for a charity tournament), usually 4+ tables.

I'm busy tonight, but good to know that room still is pretty decent. I'll probably see you around soon.

I think MSPT will be smashing this week. If Thursday goes well they should crack the $200K mark for first. With more tables available there should be more re-entries/late regs ... and another Michigan record.

Casey Carroll is FT today at HPT in Chicago .. steam starts around 130 for us. Jake B, who FT last Fall at this location, got knocked out in the low 20s for $5K. These guys (along with Chris Blik when he can get away) are a formidable tournament 'team'. Spend lots of time talking poker. Casey won this even last Spring .. so he's going for the pseudo back-to-back titles. He's in Seat 1 .. the same seat Jake was in last Fall, but he won from Seat 4 last time ... not that your Seat # matters .. GL

Bad Beat is getting pretty ridonkulous at MCC again, something like $450K now. Has this affected play? It seemed like it turned the regs into inmates when it got up to $550K last Summer, but it doesn't seem quite the same this year. Any thoughts as to why? Is it all in my head? Seems to me like it isn't as soft a room as last time the jackpot got so big. Opinions?

i don't play 1/2 but the 2/5 has been great. especially with the bigger buy in now.

It definitely affected play last year at 1/2 ... May 21st it hit!! ... I didn't really see too much change at 2/5 at that time. Haven't played in Detroit for a bit .. need a day trip.

The play is getting very bad at FireKeepers with the BBJ now $130K (AAAJJ for low end). I suppose you can make some adjustments but I've seen multiple-multiple limps/flats with JJ-AA in the last 4 weeks. Once it gets past 1200-100 AM it's been worse. I don't have a huge sample size but I've made a few table changes and I 'never' go that route as a rule.

Last year, it seemed like a lot of the bad beat "chasers" either gave up or ran out of money before it actually hit. Sure, maybe on Friday and Saturday night the games are full of chasers and 1-2 played a little different when you're dealing with numerous short stacks on the table that are just playing to hit the bad beat. I think you're seeing a lot less of that during the day and mid-week in general now. 2-5 still seems to be playing pretty well, with maybe a few extra players in the building, but it's not as crazy as it was last year

I hope it passes. How arrogant of a prick goes Synder need to be to veto something that charities want, and both houses of the legislature want?

Bill passed both houses on April 27th

Bill went to Regulatory Committee for Reform

Regulatory Committee approved 'without amendment and for immediate effect' on May 16th.

Now the 'whole' Regulatory Committee must 'approve' and then it goes to Governor I believe.

So even though both houses have passed 'any' bill, it must go through the Regulatory Committee (which I think has a mixed bag of lawmakers and judges on it) in order to make sure everything is 'ok' before it 'could' become law via Governor signature.

So progress was made this week for the Charity Millionaire Party Rules .. GL
