Common theme at charity rooms?
I wouldn't call the Roundtree game particularly tight in my experience.
All of the smaller charity rooms I've played in with 1-3 tables running are very hit-or-miss. They table dynamic depends a LOT on which of the local regs happens to be on the table any given night. Sometimes they're spewfests, other times they're tighter than a drum. In a small room you've got little to no ability to table select
The late night "magic hour" spewfest is fairly common in charity rooms when guys look to get un-stuck, or come in late after drinking and just want to gamble it up. But *sometimes* 1 am can be too late. If the worst players get there earlier they can bust out before 1am, leaving you with a more solid lineup at the end of the night. (Better players either win, or they lose slower than really bad players.)
