What I've seen has been down too, seems like it's been headed downhill for the better part of a year too. Mostly MGM, a couple of charities. Went to MCC the other week on a Sunday and was not impressed with the turnout (but it's been a while between visits).
At first I thought that it might be from the new casino in Toledo ... but they're not awfully busy either. Also haven't seen many DET regs down there when I've gone.
My theory is that it's related to the continued high unemployment in the area. There just isn't enough disposable income around to feed the number of poker tables that we have in the city. I noticed a pretty large spike in attendance (and my winrate) right around the auto worker buyouts and layoffs in 2008, with people that just got handed $20-30k severances donking it up in the card rooms.
But I really hope that I'm wrong and it's just that we've had a really nice summer and everyone's been outside on a boat.
